Su Yibin was born in 1970 in Hengdizi Village, Shizikou Town, Gong'an County, Hubei Province. At the age of 16, his father fell ill and died, and he and his mother barely lived on Bo Tian.
In 1989, Su Yibin took the college entrance examination for the first time, and the college entrance examination score was more than 10 points away from the lowest admission score line of the university in Hubei that year.
After failing the college entrance examination, he came to Wuhan to learn cooking and later opened a restaurant. After the birth of her daughter Su Xiaomei, Su Yibin pinned her hopes on her daughter.
From the 12 years when her daughter was in primary school to middle school, Su Yibin accompanied her throughout the whole process and moved three times. In the end, he studied with his daughter, took the college entrance examination, and went to college, and was called "male version of Mengmu" by netizens.

English was Su Yibin's weakness, and he could hardly understand what the teacher was saying.
"I just sit in the classroom and listen to the lectures." Su Yibin listened to the English lessons of 3 English teachers, and specially printed the class schedule of an English teacher, and went to listen to the lessons when he had time.
In the first semester of freshman year, Su Yibin's English score improved by leaps and bounds, from 67 points in the first semester of freshman year to 89 points.

In the first semester of his freshman year, he scored full marks in linear algebra and probability theory, and the two basics of English and accounting were also the first in the whole major. The Wuhan Institute of Engineering and Technology once provided Su Yibin with a job as a counselor assistant, earning 1800 yuan per month. "My mother and I save flowers, and I cook three meals a day." During the summer vacation, Su Yibin sent her mother to her sister's house and went to the construction site to work to earn tuition. In 2019, Su Yibin's mother died of illness.

In the summer of 2014, Su Yibin worked at a construction site on the outskirts of Jingzhou, and the bricklayer master who built a brick was 1 cent and 5 cents, and the "small worker" who carried ash buckets could get 5 cents. He worked there for almost two months as a small worker.
After Su Xiaomei graduated from college, she delivered takeaways for more than half a year. Su Yibin heard that it was profitable to deliver takeaways, so he used the weekend to follow his daughter to deliver takeaways. He worked for 3 days and earned 405 yuan, and as a result, he was deducted 400 yuan because of two complaints.
When paying wages, the station manager of the takeaway station said to Su Xiaomei: "Your father only earned 5 yuan, how to pay him a salary?" Su Xiaomei secretly gave the station manager 100 yuan," said he earned 105 yuan. Until now, this matter has been hidden from Su Yibin.
