Albert Einstein was a pioneer in the field of modern science and technology, recognized as the greatest physicist after Galileo and Newton, and was selected as the "Great Man of the Century" by Time Magazine in December 1999. Einstein's manuscripts are of great value, they reflect Einstein's logical reasoning process and his personal growth process, most of which are treasured in historical museums and preserved for a long time.
Einstein died on April 18, 1955, after a ruptured aortic aneurysm, and for decades afterwards there has been a saying that "Einstein burned his manuscript before his death."
In fact, Einstein had already signed a will on March 18, 1950, dividing his inheritance among his stepdaughter Margot and his two sons, Edward and Hans. Albert. He gave his written property to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the "written property" is the manuscript we are discussing, a total of 110 copies.
Most of these manuscripts are records of Einstein's mathematical calculus from 1944 to 1948, as well as some papers and unpublished scientific and technical articles around 1950, which belong to Einstein's daily research records in his later years. Scholars studied the manuscripts without finding important theories, which contrasted with Einstein, who had been fruitful in the first half of his life, and thus came the rumor that "Einstein burned part of his manuscript before his death.".
Only 110 manuscripts were found in his later years, which is obviously not all of Einstein's manuscripts in his later years, and for a passionate scientist, 110 was just part of the workload. Where are the other parts of the manuscript?
There are probably three possibilities: one is that part of the manuscript has been privately treasured, the other is that it may have been deliberately hidden by the government or organization, and the third is that Einstein burned it in his later years. What is the possibility? This is inconclusive. Those who preferred to burn manuscripts put forward various views, one of which was closely related to Einstein's Unified Field Theory published in February 1929, which led to the "Philadelphia Experiment".
The Philadelphia experiment, also known as the "Rainbow Project," was designed to test whether the electromagnetic field could make the warship invisible, not in the true sense of stealth, but to use degaussing technology to crack the magnetic signal of the warship, which can protect the submarine from magnetic torpedoes. If successful, it would be a major military contribution. The warship used was the USS Eldridge.
The main players in providing the technology and principles are: Tesla, Newman, and Einstein. The principle of the Philadelphia experiment is Einstein's unified field theory, which holds that gravitational and electromagnetic fields are related, just as matter and energy can be linked by a formula (E =mc²). Although the relationship between gravitational and electromagnetic fields has not yet been studied, the Philadelphia experiment has confirmed that there is a correlation between the two.

A researcher must regard his own research conclusions as a treasure, and if there is an obvious breakthrough, he will not destroy it, after all, science and technology is only a tool for human survival and development, and whether to play its positive role or negative role depends on people to a certain extent. What are the possible causes for assuming that the lost manuscript was burned?
People probably hold two views: first, Einstein's research in his later years has not yielded results, and he burned the manuscript in frustration. This kind of statement has only been supported by a small number of people, and some opposing scholars said that scientific research is progressed in the process of trial and error, failure is the mother of success, and the more valuable value of failure is to tell the latecomers that this road is not feasible!
The second point, which most scholars support, was that on December 12, 1951, Einstein wrote in a letter: "Fifty years of thinking has not brought me closer to the question of what is a particle of light. Today, everyone thinks they know the answer, but in reality they're just fooling themselves. ”
Perhaps he found that the theory of great achievements was actually wrong, and with the development of science and technology, some researchers also said that there was a problem in the theory of relativity. At this time, he no longer had the energy to find the right answer, and he did not want to disclose his mistakes to the world, so he burned his results.
