Hainan Daily reporter learned from the Forestry Bureau of Lingao County on May 18 that lingao county is rich in ancient tree resources, a wide variety, a wide distribution, and most of them are well preserved, and the tree type is spectacular. After the census, the total number of ancient trees more than 100 years old in Lingao County is 1914, all of which are scattered ancient trees. There are 26 species of trees, belonging to 17 families and 24 genera, among these ancient trees, there are 9 first-class ancient trees more than 500 years old, and the tree species include three kinds of blood-sealed throat, pen tube banyan and alpine banyan tree. There are 82 second-class ancient trees over 300 years old, and the tree species include 11 species of alpine fig, blood-sealed throat, small-leaf fig, capers, lychee, magpie kidney tree, olive kernel tree, pen tube fig, neem, autumn maple and umbrella maple. There are 1823 tertiary ancient trees with more than 100 years old, and in addition to covering first- and second-class tree species, tertiary ancient trees also include 24 species such as earth altar trees, false jade gui, longan, cattail trees, camphor, Hainan peach, kapok, laurel, jacaranda, bamboo trees, phoenix trees, maple incense and iron holly.

According to reports, Lingao century-old trees throughout the county, mainly distributed in the countryside, there are 1775 beads, accounting for 92.74% of the total. Bohou Town has the largest number of centuries-old trees, with 319 trees. Dongying Town 230 plants, Huangtong Town 229 plants, ranked second and third.

From the perspective of tree species, the small leaf fig has the most, with 861 beads, accounting for 44.98%; followed by the alpine banyan tree, with 662 trees, accounting for 34.59%; see blood seal throat ranked third, there are 206 trees, accounting for 10.76%.
From the results of the survey, there are 1789 trees with a good growth environment, accounting for 93.47% of the total. There are 117 ancient trees that are currently in a poor environment and need to be paid attention to and protected.
