What is even more precious is that they are in the same boat through the storm and have walked through 44 years of glory together, supporting each other, growing old with white heads, and singing and crying.

Huang Jie was born in 1910 to a family of scholars in Haoxue Town, Jiangling County, Hubei Province. However, Huang Jie's life is very miserable, when she was 2 years old, her father unfortunately died, and she could only rely on her mother for her life, and suffered from white eyes and bullying.

Later, when Huang Jie grew up a little, the greedy squire uncle hid from her and took it upon himself to marry the son of a local rich man. When she was 14 years old, in order to escape marriage, Huang Jie came to Wuhan alone. She just wants to dare to break through the shackles of this evil old thought and find the life she wants. At that time, Wuhan Huangpu Branch was just enrolling female students. As a result, Huang Jie won the approval of the examiner with a 108-word paper scroll and excellent results in learning not to fake, and had the honor of becoming the first batch of female cadets of the Wuhan Branch of the Whampoa Military Academy, and from then on, she began her revolutionary career.

In 1928, Huang Jie, who came into contact with the advanced ideas of the revolution, strengthened her revolutionary will, and soon after, she joined the Communist Party, and since then, she has handed over her fate and life to the country and the people, becoming a staunch believer in communism. Due to his outstanding performance and strong organizational skills, Huang Jie was promoted to secretary of the Songzi County Party Committee and led and participated in the Jiulinggang peasant uprising.

After the failure of the uprising, Huang Jie returned to his hometown to carry out underground work for the party. However, what she never expected was that when Huang Jie carried out underground party work in her hometown, she was attacked by her father, who had repented of her marriage. The rich man's father bribed the local officers and soldiers with heavy money and prepared to arrest Huang Jie on the charge of "false accusations."

Fortunately, Huang Jie cleverly hid his true identity, which evaded capture and escaped a disaster. Later, Huang Jie went to Jiangsu, Shanghai and other places to continue to engage in underground work of the party. It was also while working underground in Shanghai that Huang Jie met his first Zeng Zhongsheng, who was also a staunch Communist Party member. The married life after the two married is also happy and has made countless people envious. In fact, sometimes, the halfway couple will cherish each other more.

Huang Jie accompanied Xu Xiangqian through the difficult years of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation. What is more worth mentioning is that Xu Xiangqian loved and cared for Huang Jie's previous two children, just like his own children. After getting married, they had a son and a daughter, and life can be said to be happy and happy, and the children have become the pillars of the country.

In 1990, Xu Xiangqian, 88 years old, died of illness, and by this time, they had accompanied each other and gone through the ups and downs of their lives for 44 years. In 2007, Huang Jie also completed her life at the age of 96. 44 years of companionship, there are ups and downs, there are tribulations, but what remains unchanged is each other's sincerity.
