Today (July 2), Larian Studios officially announced that the eighth patch of "Baldur's Gate 3" is coming, and "Baldur's Gate 3" was first released in Early Access in October 2020, and the studio has been updating the content for the game since then, and has now updated 7 major patches.
Patch Eight has a file size of around 40GB, and the official reminds players to make sure that the installation device has sufficient storage space, in addition, as with the previous patch, Patch Seven or the previous archive file will no longer be compatible with the update. Once Patch Eight goes live, the total file size of Baldur's Gate 3 will reach a staggering 104GB.
Patch 8 will do some data cleanup, and after the patch goes live, except for the two latest patches (Number 6 and 7), the download permissions of all previous patch versions will be turned off. Also, if you installed any mods, or used any mods in previous versions of Baldur's Gate 3, please remove them before updating the game.
