Olympic Day was established by the International Olympic Committee in 1948 to commemorate the modern Olympic Games born in the Paris Sorbonne on June 23, 1894. The purpose of the day is to encourage all people in the world, regardless of gender, age or athletic skills, to participate in sporting activities.

Since 1987, the Chinese Olympic Committee has carried out Olympic Day celebrations every year as an important platform for promoting the Olympic spirit, disseminating the Olympic concept and promoting Olympic culture. Olympic Day activities have become an important traditional mass sports activity on the mainland.

Today is the 36th Olympic Day of the Chinese Olympic Committee, and Tianyan takes you back to the representative main venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and subsequent Olympic Games.

The International Olympic Committee, an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization, is the governing body of the Olympic Movement, recognized on 17 September 1981 by the Swiss Federal Parliament as an indefinitely existing international body with legal personality, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Stadium: National Stadium

The National Stadium is the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Tokyo Olympic Games, athletics and football. The entire stadium is oval in shape, covering an area of 192,000 square meters, with five floors above ground and two floors underground, with three grandstands that can accommodate 60,000 spectators to watch the game.

The stadium uses a lot of Domestic Japanese wood, the biggest feature is "wind", referring to the traditional Japanese architecture to introduce natural wind cool design through the eaves. The main venue of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics was its predecessor.

The Maracanã Stadium can accommodate 200,000 spectators, and the Remit Cup, which has been permanently retained by the Brazilians, is stored here. The Stadium's Football Museum exhibits the history of the stadium's construction and various pictures, videos and models reflecting the grandeur of the game, and the SuperStar Footprints stand features large footprints left by famous Brazilian stars.

The Maracanã Stadium is not only a place for Brazilian players to aspire to, but also a place for Brazilian fans to express their enthusiasm for football. It records not only the history of Brazilian football, but also the history of players and Brazilian fans.

London 2012 Olympic Stadium: "London Bowl"

Nicknamed the "London Bowl", London Olympic Stadium is narrow and wide, resembling a soup bowl. There are bird's nests in the East and rice bowls in the West, and there has been a good story left in the history of the Olympic Games since then.

The venue is based on the design of the ancient Colosseum and is both traditional and modern. The bottom part of the bowl of the bowl-shaped building is lower than the surface and is used for sports competitions; The grandstand is partially elevated above the ground, and the bowl side wall is set up with a close low-rise grandstand. A total of 5 ring-shaped structures are composed of a sunken bowl design, allowing the audience to watch the athletes' movements more closely. The London Bowl, the biggest feature of its design, is the use of unprecedented temporary competition venues and detachable stands.

The National Stadium covers an area of 204,000 square meters, with a construction area of 258,000 square meters and can accommodate 91,000 spectators. In 2008, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the finals of athletics competitions and football competitions were held. After the Olympic Games, it has become a large-scale professional place for Beijing citizens to participate in sports activities and enjoy sports entertainment, and has become a landmark sports building and Olympic heritage. In 2022, the Winter Olympics were held here.

The shape of the stadium is like a "nest" and cradle that gives birth to life, pinning on the hope of mankind for the future. The designers did not do anything superfluous to the venue, exposing the structure and thus naturally forming the appearance of the building.
