How to choose a projector

With the rise of the projector industry in recent years, projectors have played an important role in home theaters. So, do you know how to buy a projector? Parameters that must be known when purchasing a projector

How to choose a projector

1. Type: At present, the projectors on the domestic market are mainly DLP and LCD.

LCD: At present, most of the 100-yuan machines, but due to poor color, the response speed is generally on the verge of elimination

DLP: Good color, but expensive

2. Brightness (ANSI lumens)

AnSI lumens are the brightness that ultimately hits the screen, not the brightness of the light source. The brightness of the unmarked units, thousands or even tens of thousands of lumens are hooligans. But if you want to see clearly during the day, at least more than 1500.

3. Standard resolution

The standard resolution determines whether your projector is clear or not, and the general HD movie is 720P, so the minimum requirement is also 720P. Some merchants like to play word games, but be aware that it is a standard resolution rather than a compatible resolution, avoid stepping on the pit!

4. Chip (DLP)

For example, a projector business advertises 1080P, but the chip is only 0.33 inches, because the 0,33-inch chip is limited by size, only 920,000 micro lenses can be distributed, each lens is a pixel, 1280 * 720 = 921,000, so 920,000 lenses can only be made into a resolution of 720P at most. However, the manufacturer simulates more pixels by letting the pixels jitter shift at high speed, so as to obtain the number of pixels with a pixel count of 1080P. Although the simulated picture can reduce the graininess of the picture, it will not improve too much picture detail, and cannot achieve the real 1080P effect. Therefore, the real 1080P requires a 0.47-inch chip, and the price will be higher.

5. Light source, mainly the following types, can be purchased according to their own needs

LED: The brightness is average, but the life is longer than 2W hours. But for the family scene, having more than 1000 lumens is already OK.

High-pressure mercury bulbs; The brightness is high, but the life expectancy is generally around 5000H

Laser: high brightness, long life

summary

The higher the brightness, the better, and the higher the resolution, the sharper it is.
