Later, the Qing Dynasty could not take care of itself, especially after the Sino-Japanese War, even Taiwan Province was ceded, not to mention Ryukyu. Until the end of World War II, Roosevelt originally wanted to hand over Vietnam and Ryukyu to Chinese administration.

Moreover, after China obtains the Ryukyu Islands, it can directly control Japan's sea lines of communication to avoid the re-emergence of Japanese fascist forces, and if your country wants, after the war, the Ryukyu Islands will be returned to China together with Taiwan and the Penghu Islands. ”
Chiang Kai-shek suspected that Roosevelt had some sinister intentions, so why did he have to send the Ryukyu Islands in vain? Because I could not understand it, I replied: "Although Ryukyu was once a vassal of China, it is an independent country, and the treatment of Ryukyu after the war should be the same as that of the Korean region, even if Ryukyu is not independent, we should also hand it over to international organizations and then be administered by China and the United States together." ”
