Bed bugs, also known as ticks, wood lice, bed lice, flat beetles and so on. It is a genus of insects, hemiptera, bed bugs, bed bugs, is a group of medically important group of hemiptera insects, is an incomplete metamorphosis of insects. Flattened body, broad abdomen, ovoid, reddish-brown, without one eye. Antennae 4 sections. Beak 3 section, hidden in the groove under the head. The wings are degenerate, retaining only the remnants of the leather flakes of the forewings. Tarsus 3. Sucks the blood of thermostatic animals, is nocturnal, and hides in crevices during the day. According to reports, there are 74 species of bed bugs worldwide, but the vast majority are parasitic in bats and birds, and fewer species are related to humans.

There are two species in China: temperate bed bugs are distributed in the Yangtze River and Yellow River basins, which belong to the world; tropical bed bugs are distributed in South China, Taiwan and tropical regions. Bed bugs have a pair of stink glands that can secrete an abnormal odorous liquid, which is used to defend against predators and promote mating, and the place where bed bugs crawl can leave a bad smell, so it is called bed bugs. In the past 10 years, bed bugs have reappeared in some developed countries and regions such as Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. Parts of the country are also becoming increasingly common, and there is a widespread risk of occurrence. Most people have symptoms of immune response such as redness, swelling, itching and other symptoms on their skin after being bitten by bed bugs. Bed bug infestation can cause anxiety and insomnia. Although bed bug-borne diseases have not been reported, bacteria associated with human diseases have been detected in bed bugs.
Female and male adults and nymphs both suck blood, mostly at night. When sucking blood, it can secrete an alkaline saliva that is injected into the body through the mouth organ to prevent blood from clotting. This saliva is irritating to people, making the stinging site red, swollen and itchy. After the nymphs first hatch, they can suck blood, and each blood suck takes 6-9 minutes. Bed bugs are gluttonous, sucking more than 1-2 times their body weight, usually every 24-48 hours. Adults suck blood for about 10-15 minutes at a time, and when they suck blood, they generally do not crawl on the skin, but stop on the bedding, clothes or furniture immediately adjacent to the skin. As we all know, lice parasitize the human body, it does not leave the human body, and it can suck blood at any time. Bed bugs, on the other hand, only approach the human body when they suck blood, and leave when they are full. If the bed bug does not have the opportunity to meet people, it has to starve, in a low temperature, high humidity environment, usually adult worms can tolerate hunger for 6-7 months, or even up to 1 year or more; nymphs can also tolerate hunger for more than 2 months.
Bed bugs are light-afraid and are mostly active at night, but they can also suck blood during the day. Bed bugs are very agile and alert, when sucking blood, such as the slight movement of the human body, that is, stop sucking blood, crawl away and hide, bed bugs can crawl 1-1.25m per minute. Bed bugs live in groups and can be scattered with clothing and luggage. Bed bugs mainly inhabit the indoor bed frame, the four corners of the tent roof, the walls, the ceiling, the bedding, grass mats, bed mats and other gaps and paste wallpaper behind. Bed bugs often have many tan droppings in their habitats. Bed bugs are extremely active in summer, breeding vigorously, and their reproductive temperature is generally 28-33 ° C, and the relative humidity is 55%-60%. Temperate bed bugs generally start in May, are more frequent in August, are less common after October, and cease to be active and spawn in winter. Temperate bed bugs are highly adaptable and distributed around the world, while tropical bed bugs require higher temperatures and do not thrive except in tropical areas. China's temperate bed bugs are spread throughout the country, mainly distributed in the north of the Yangtze River; the distribution of tropical bed bugs is limited to Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Taiwan and other cities south of the Yangtze River.
The common harm of bed bugs to humans is blood-sucking harassment. Most people are itchy after being bitten by bed bugs, and the redness and swelling of temperate bed bugs do not go away for several days. In addition, India has reported that severe infestation of bed bugs can cause iron deficiency anemia, and there are also reports that bed bug feces may cause asthma. After investigation in China, the degree of insect contamination of indoor furniture is serious in bed. It is worth noting that due to the improvement of the living standards of our people, the improvement of housing conditions, and the application of special drugs for bed bugs, the harm of bed bugs in China has once been controlled at a very low level. However, in recent years, there has been a trend of resurgence, especially in prisons, detention centers, and dormitories for migrant workers.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="23" > physical control method:</h1>
Manual capture: knock on the bed frame, bed board, kang mat, grass mat, etc., shake the bed bugs down, execute, or use needles and wires to pick out the bed bugs in the gaps and kill them.
Boiling water scalding: bed bugs are not tolerant of high temperatures, can use boiling water to burn all the eggs and adult worms, the bed frame, bed board and other utensils with bed bugs can be moved to the outdoors, with a kettle filled with boiling water to align the gap, slowly move the hot water, be sure to make the gap reach a high temperature, in order to burn the bed bugs and their eggs, the breeding of bed bugs clothes, mosquito nets, can be soaked in boiling water.
Heated or frozen treatment: Adult bed bugs, nymphs and eggs can all be killed in just 7 minutes at 46°C. Put the bed and other furniture outdoors and freeze to death the bed bugs of each insect stage; -17.8 °C for 2 days; -6.7 °C for 4-5 days.
Steam sprinkler irrigation: a variety of steam generators can be used to spray out from the small holes of the nozzle by steam pressure to burn bed bugs and eggs in the crevices.
Sun exposure: For clothes that cannot be boiled with boiling water, they can be exposed to strong sunlight for 1-4 hours, and given flips, so that bed bugs are killed by high temperature sunburn or crawling out.
Prevention of spread: In the room where bed bugs are active, the relocation (relocation or sale) of luggage, furniture and other items must be strictly inspected and treated to prevent the spread of bed bugs from being brought out and brought in.
There are many other treatment methods, and I will not list them all here. Everyone must pay attention to the harm prevention of these insects in their lives.
