In the swimming arena of the last competition day, the Chinese team won the first medal in the swimming event of this world championships, and Zhang Yufei won the bronze medal in the women's 100m butterfly final. Only 4 matches were scheduled for the preliminaries of this matchday, starting with the men's 50m breaststroke, and Yan Zibei made his debut again. In the men's 100m breaststroke competition that ended earlier, Yan Zibei finished 5th, and he is looking forward to a better performance in the 50m breaststroke.
Yan Zibei made his appearance in group 7 of the preliminaries, and he was in the same group as the 100m breaststroke champion Martiniji.
