In the swimming arena of the last competition day, the Chinese team won the first medal in the swimming event of this world championships, and Zhang Yufei won the bronze medal in the women's 100m butterfly final. Only 4 matches were scheduled for the preliminaries of this matchday, starting with the men's 50m breaststroke, and Yan Zibei made his debut again. In the men's 100m breaststroke competition that ended earlier, Yan Zibei finished 5th, and he is looking forward to a better performance in the 50m breaststroke.
Yan Zibei made his appearance in group 7 of the preliminaries, and he was in the same group as the 100m breaststroke champion Martiniji. In the first 50 meters, Yang Junxuan rushed to the front, with a time of 27.39 seconds, followed by Wilson and Smith. Yang Junxuan continued to lead in the 100 meters, and she kept leading in the following races, and finally won the first place in the group with 1:56.58. Wilson was close behind with 1:56.85 and Smith in third place with 1:57.22.
