The raw materials used in breeding are very special commodities, which have many shortcomings that are difficult to see good or bad, difficult to check the content, and lag behind in the use effect.
First, it is difficult to see whether it is good or bad: the raw materials are mostly composed of nutrients mixed together. Its quality is good or bad, how much content, it is difficult to intuitively feel and judge through the shape, color, density, etc. of raw materials.
The second is that it is difficult to detect the content: don't say that at that time, it is not an easy task to detect trace elements and various vitamins now, let alone enzyme preparations, methionine, lysine, fishmeal and other raw materials. Farmers can only choose products based on feelings, reading instructions, listening to flickering, and are completely passive.
Third, the use effect is lagging behind: many raw materials need a long time to use to reflect, such as VA, VD, VE, VK and other fat-soluble vitamins, such as threonine, lysine and trace elements.
Due to the lack of careful comparative tests by farmers; coupled with the fact that it is difficult to distinguish which raw material is wrong after the mixing of a variety of raw materials (trace elements, vitamins, enzyme preparations, etc. have a synergistic effect, when a certain raw material is insufficient, it will be covered up by other nutrients in the short term and difficult to be found); coupled with the cheapness of fishmeal, a large number of additions, the use of masks the quality of small materials and other reasons. Whether the raw materials in the small materials are good or not, it can be said that it is difficult to be discovered in time.
In the era of the earliest use of small materials, due to vicious price competition, lack of quality supervision and other issues, raw materials are mixed, and the quality is more and more guaranteed; with the soaring price of fishmeal, no longer add fishmeal or a small amount of addition, the last fig leaf on the head of the small material is gradually ripped off, and farmers feel that the effect of small material self-matching is not enough. Under the clamor of the emerging premix and concentrate salesmen, driven by the first crab eaters, and bombarded by the sugar-coated shells that pushed the cup for cups N times, the early farmers who used small materials gradually disappeared.
With the reform and opening up, the rapid development of manufacturing and processing enterprises, the increase in labor and wages, resulting in a sharp increase in labor costs. Under the multiple pressure of personnel costs and competition between feed factories, huge profits have gradually become a thing of the past, and high quality and low price have also become dreams and luxuries. The development process of layer chicken breeding in China in 30 years is a general trend of increasing production performance year by year and the need for nutrition. In this way, one progress (layer breeding and nutritional needs) and one decline (feed quality decline), the contradiction between the two is becoming more and more prominent. It can be said that in the past 30 years, China's layer chicken feed has been forced by various pressures, and instead of making progress, it has retreated.

Under such circumstances, the old farmers who have experienced small material self-matching have thought of the former self-ingredients. So like a small grass in spring, it gradually sprouted and grew in the main breeding area of layer chickens in the north.
