Yesterday the official announced that there will be a new balance patch, and today the patch is coming, and it has been installed!
This patch involves a lot of content, not only the balance patch of the ladder mode, but also the patch of the tavern wargames, and Naga finally made a callback! 3 hero enhancements, lots of hero armor tweaks!
Build patterns
Developer Review: We've brought a lot of balancing changes to standard mode in this patch (Wild Mode also has one change!). ), hoping to achieve several different goals. First, we will weaken the strength level of the strongest deck in the current mainstream environment, namely the Evil Demon Hunter and various control field battles. About half of the changes in the patch are for balance reasons, and adjustments are made directly to the winning percentage of these decks.
The rest of the changes are not necessarily due to strength reasons, but are primarily intended to improve the experience of playing against some of the extreme cards in the game.
The strength of the following cards has been lowered:
Crack shield with one blow
Old: Deals 5 damage to all minions. For every 1 armor point you have, the card's mana cost is reduced by (1) point. → New: Deals 4 damage to all minions. For every 1 armor point you have, the card's mana cost is reduced by (1) point.

Tidal Revenant
Old: War Roar: Deals 5 damage. Gain 8 armor points. → NEW: War Roar: Deals 5 damage. Gain 5 armor points.
Nelly's Pirate Ship (Giant Minions Nelly, an appendage summoned by the Super Giant Plesiosaur)
Old: Taunt, Dead Words: Put Nelly's crew into your hand. Their mana costs (1). → NEW: Taunt, Dead Words: Put Nelly's crew in your hand. Their mana consumption is reduced by (1) points.
Visitors from the deep sea
Old: [Costs 3 Mana] → New: [Consumes 4 Mana]
Developer review: Both charge and control battles are strong on the ladder, and the higher the ladder segment, the higher the warrior's winning rate. These decks share several key cards, and this change hopes to reduce the winning percentage of both types of play. We don't want or expect these decks to disappear immediately after the changes, but we hope that in the future, the extremely frustrating playing styles produced by these decks (such as Mr. Heavy Punch, which uses Nelly to summon a mana of 1 point) will be weakened or even disappeared.
Kailia Evil Spirits
Old: [Costs 6 Mana] 6 Attack Damage, 6 Health. Battle Roar: Transform into a 6/6 copy of a demon in your deck. → New: [Costs 7 Mana] 7 Attack, 7 Health. Battle Roar: Transforms into a 7/7 copy of a demon in your deck.
Pioneers
Old: 2 Attack Damage, 2 Health → New: 2 Attack Damage, 1 Health
Developer Review: Since the release of the latest mini-series, Demon Hunter has become another class with a strong winning percentage. The enhanced Hillagues did make waves, which made us very happy. However, players often use Kelia to copy a Hilla in advance, which is not something we like. In addition to delaying this fit, we will also weaken a little of the life of the pioneer, making it difficult for him to stabilize the field and roll up the snowball in the early stages.
The Brute Claw Jackal
Old: 4 Attack Damage, 5 Health → New: 3 Attack Damage, 5 Health
Developer Review: Stalker is one of the most popular classes in the standard mode, and we can't do anything about other popular classes before we can slightly slash Stalker. The Clawed Jackal is a difficult card to control, but we can optimistically expect that the latest changes should put the card and the class at the right intensity.
Light cast Kerryl
Old: [Costs 7 Mana] → New: [Consumes 8 Mana]
Developer Review: We're excited to see the Hero card support the later matches of this class, but Kerryl took effect a round earlier than expected. In the current mainstream environment, paladins are in a fairly healthy position. Combined with the other changes in this patch, we expect the paladin status to remain the same.
Whipped Siren
Old: [Costs 4 Mana] 2 Attack Damage, 5 Health → New: [Costs 5 Mana] 2 Attack Damage, 6 Health
Developer Review: In the Naga Mage Deck, the Whip Siren is a very interesting card, but it can end the game too efficiently and has little room to deal with. We wanted to delay its effect by one turn so that the opponent would have more time to deal with the scenes it caused.
Scales of the Earth
Old: [Consumes 1 Mana] → New: [Consumes 2 Mana]
Developer Review: Since the launch of the mini series, the Druids have not been strong, but they have been extremely frustrated when they lose. We think that the effect of the Earth Scales is too powerful for cards that consume 1 mana. After increasing the mana cost by 1 point, attacking the Druid in the middle of the game should have a better chance of success.
Thunder blooms
Old: In this turn, get two mana crystals. Overload: (2). → New: Restores two mana crystals. Overload: (2).
Developer Review: Since the launch of the mini series, we have been tracking the situation of the game and found that the game experience in Wild Mode has caused a lot of concerns, mainly caused by Big Brother Sa. These decks can sometimes unleash significant threats early on, making the game less like a game. We quickly judged that the Thunder Bloom caused the vast majority of the problems in Wild Mode, both long-term and short-term. So we're going to make adjustments in a more radical way.
Mr. Heavy Punch
Old: [Costs 6 Mana] → New: [Consumes 7 Mana]
Developer Review: Mr. Heavy Punch is a powerful card that can end the game, so it doesn't need to be a strong figure commensurate with the cost. This change will allow the card to be handled better in the middle of the match, while delaying the launch of the relevant coordination.
School teacher
Old: 5 Attack Damage, 4 Health → New: 4 Attack Damage, 3 Health
Developer Comments: We are generally satisfied with the school teacher's gameplay, but the cards with excellent war roar effects generally do not have very good attribute values. We expect this card to still play as often as possible, but not as ubiquitously as it is now.
Once the 23.4.3 patch is available, players will be able to break down the above craftable cards and receive the full amount of Arcane Dust over a two-week period (the core version of the cards in the core series, as well as the golden version of the School Teacher in the "Quest for the Sunken City" bonus route, are not allowable to make cards).
Do you think that after this patch, who can become the Lich King in the ladder?
