June 14 marks the 26th anniversary of the death of Shi Zhengquan, a famous Peking Opera performance artist played by Li Yongqi in "Wise Tiger Mountain". Time flies so fast, "Wise Tiger Mountain" and Shi Zhengquan are getting farther and farther away from us, whether it is a movie or an actor, although it has passed decades, it is still unforgettable.
The model play "Wise Tiger Mountain" is based on part of Qu Bo's novel "Lin Hai Xueyuan", filmed by Beijing Film Studio, performed by Shanghai Peking Opera House, directed by Xie Tieli, starring Tong Xiangling, Shen Jinbo, Shi Zhengquan, etc., released in 1970, telling the story of Yang Zirong, the reconnaissance platoon leader of a regiment of our army, who broke into Weihu Mountain and finally joined forces to annihilate local bandits.
As the first of the eight model plays, "Wise Tiger Mountain" is a landmark work in the model play, and the plot and singing section have influenced several generations, which is a typical red classic of Peking Opera. In the play, Shi Zhengquan played Li Yongqi, a railway worker who was deeply victimized by bandits and had a deep hatred.
Shi Zhengquan, born in 1926, was admitted to the Shanghai Theater School in 1939, learned qiupai flower face, and was taught by Liang Lianzhu, Chen Furui and other famous artists. The Shanghai Opera School has trained countless Peking Opera talents, especially the "Zheng" character section, such as Qian Zhenglun (that is, Qian Haoliang), Shi Zhengquan, Sun Zhengyang, Wang Zhenghua, Xue Zhengkang, Gu Zhengqiu, Zhou Zhengrong, Liu Zhengzhong, Guan Zhengming, Chen Zhengyan, Wang Zhengkun, Zhang Zhengfen, Jing Zhengfei, etc. In 1945, Shi Zhengquan performed in Classes in Shanghai and other places. In 1950, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, he joined the Shanghai Peking Opera House and became a flower-faced actor.
Shi Zhengquan's "Wise Tiger Mountain" is an artistic peak that is difficult to climb, and most of the singing sections are full of passion and a strong sense of rhythm, and the sections are all excellent works. Not only Yang Zirong's "Fighting the Tiger on the Mountain" and Shao Jianbo's "We Are the Children and Soldiers of Workers and Peasants", but also Li Yongqi's "These soldiers are in a hurry to cure the sick and save their lives" and "Early and late and also look forward to wearing eyes" and other two yellow singing voices, which are also breathtaking.
Shao Jianbo led the warriors to The Jiapigou, but Li Yongqi and Yongqi Niang were suspicious of these soldiers, and their hearts were in a state of great doubt and uneasiness. Therefore, he sang "These soldiers are in a hurry to cure people and save their lives, and they are cold and ask for warmth and affection." Since ancient times, the families of soldiers and bandits have oppressed the people, but today's events have made people suspicious..."
In this regard, Shi Zhengquan sang slowly and lowly, full of doubts, from physical movements to emotional expression, which well portrayed the image of an industrial worker with a deep blood and sea vendetta. Shi Zhengquan's singing skills are not lost to Shen Jinbo, who sang with him, one minute on stage, ten years offstage, it really makes sense.
Shi Zhengquan not only participated in Li Yongqi in "Wise Tiger Mountain", but he also played Xiang Wubo, a member of the Party Branch of Panshi Bay, in the modern Peking Opera "Rock Bay". As an old fisherman, Xiang Wubo, played by Shi Zhengquan, has high class consciousness and high vigilance, and has contributed to the annihilation of secret agents who have secretly landed on the island. Of course, because the influence of "Rock Bay" is far lower than that of "Wise Tiger Mountain", more people remember "Li Yongqi", but they do not remember "Xiang Wubo".
In fact, Shi Zhengquan also participated in several TV dramas, such as in the 1985 broadcast of You Benchang's version of "Ji Gong", he starred as the prime minister Qin Juniper, in Daqi and Fu Yiwei's "List of Fengshen Gods", he starred in the Shang Dynasty Taishi Wen Zhong, especially in the "List of Fengshen Gods", he performed the flesh and blood of Wen Zhong, the king of The Great, in his life's southern conquest of the Northern War, and almost single-handedly defended the style of Yin Shang Jiangshan Sheji.
However, the famous Peking Opera performance artist Shi Zhengquan died of illness on June 14, 1996, at the age of 70.
