The French Pyridonic Competition (2100m International First Class Race for three-year-old males and females) was founded in 1836 as a variation of the British Pyridonic Competition. The venue of the race, the Chantilly Racecourse, is not only beautiful, but also the location of the largest horse training centre in France.
