At the ongoing 2022 Este Manor Elegance Competition, Rolls-Royce brought a new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail model as promised. The new car is the second in a limited edition of the model, with a new color scheme.
Compared to the first blue-looking model, the second float has a refreshing new color scheme. The overall appearance adopts a rose gold + bronze scheme, which looks elegant and luxurious enough, while Rolls-Royce mixes white and bronze sheets for the interior of this car paint to produce a deep gradient pearlescent effect. It is also officially defined as one of the most complex paint surfaces that have been custom-developed.
The same color scheme is also found in the interior part, where the bronze panels and beaded instruments complement the brown interior and wood grain. Overall, the Rolls-Royce floating drophead body is still very classic, and the overall design concept from the yacht gives it a sloping canvas roof and a narrow tail with wooden panels. Of course, the most distinctive is the umbrella that unfolds when the trunk is opened and the full set of wine utensils/cutlery, which is naturally one of the reasons why it deserves more than 20 million pounds.
To create this unique color, the client gave four pearl shells from his private collection to the Rolls-Royce Coachbuild designer, which were selected for their unique color and complexity. These shells inspired designers to create one of the most unique paint colors they've ever seen, featuring a blend of oysters and soft roses with large white and bronze mica flakes. The main rose color is matched with a contrasting cognac hood with bronze and gold aluminum mica flakes. Even the famous Ecstatic Soul was done in rose gold.
Like the first float, this new car boasts a "butterfly design" main engine set at the rear, crafted from a royal walnut finish with rose gold-plated pinstripes and a satin brushed finish. Designers chose Royal Walnut because it ripens over time, gradually mimicking the tonal properties of cognac paints.
Although Rolls-Royce released 65 new floats, none of them showed the bespoke interior in its entirety. Rolls-Royce said the cabin was wrapped in cognac and oyster skins with royal walnut finishes and a mix of rose gold and mother-of-pearl trims. The transfer channel is made of royal walnut finishes with rose gold pinstripes that match the rear deck. The owner offers a mother-of-pearl watch from his collection, placed on the dashboard, and goes well with a custom gauge.
