But even so, it is understood that the cost of producing APIs in China is still lower than that in India, that is to say, even if India has various advantages, the cost of producing APIs is still higher than that of China. This means that if India wants to get rid of its dependence on China's APIs, it must first reduce the cost of producing drugs, otherwise it will never be able to get rid of them.
Why does China have the lowest cost of producing APIs? That's because China's supply chain is very strong. The first is that China has a deep achievement in the field of machinery manufacturing, so China's pharmaceutical machinery and equipment are very advanced, and the production chain is also complete. The second is that China has done 10,000 times better than India in land planning, environmental approval and water and electricity support, and India cannot even acquire land for the construction of high-speed rail, let alone these. In addition, there are more than 100,000 people with mature skills in China's chemical industry, who have more work experience and are more responsible than Indian employees.
Having said so much about China's advantages, why can't we surpass India? The reason is that India's generic drug capabilities are particularly strong. And there are many Western countries that are willing to share the prescription with India, let India pharmaceutical, they buy. First, Western countries do not pursue Indian generic drugs, and second, India's own countries also support doing so. Therefore, most Western countries buy Indian Western medicine, and the quality is guaranteed, because it is their own prescription. And we in China do not have the medicines they give, and all Western medicines can only be studied by ourselves. However, in the end, it can only be said that our strength is not hard enough, if we really develop better drugs, even western countries do not have drugs, then our Western medicine exports will definitely surpass India and become the world's first.
