Mr. Tang Fazhou, a descendant of Qi Baishi, president of the China Qi Baishi Calligraphy and Painting Institute and chief operating officer of Baishi Shantang Culture and Media, said that around 1922, Bai Shi also painted a sketch of "Wasp Autumn Pear" (Figure 70) for "Brother Shi Kanren", the wasp painting method is close to small freehand, the eyes and wings are very expressive, and the painting method of autumn pear is consistent with the autumn pear (figure 67) in the previous worker insect book.
Wasp (or bee), autumn pear, harmonic meaning of "harvest, auspicious", is Shiraishi's 20s-30s very fond of painting subjects, he once planted pear trees around Ru Jiachong's Jiping Hall, a few years later returned to his hometown, ate a sweet big pear, autumn pears pinned on his family's homesickness.
The Wasp Pear Diagram (Figure 71) is a larger pear painted in The White Stone found so far, with the inscription: "The pear next to the mountain pavilion, the taste is sweet, its weight is more than a pound, and it has been injured by bees for many years." Lao Ping painted this to remember his deeds, and Ah Zhi also remembered. At the same time as painting this painting, he also painted a "Wasp Cricket Big Pear Diagram" (color on paper, private collection, China Guardian International Auction Co., Ltd., November 2003) for a friend (the upper paragraph was dug up, analyzed from the remnants, probably for "Leng An", that is, Hu Peiheng), and the composition and fall were almost identical to Figure 69, but two more crickets were drawn.
