It is said that Shigenobu also wrote an article inviting Japanese left-wing youth to fight together in the Middle East. The title of the article is "To The Fighting You: An Invitation letter from Arabia."

On May 30, 1972, three members of the Japanese Red Army, Tsuyoshi Opin, Kōzo Okamoto, and Yasuda Yasuda, suddenly appeared at tel Aviv airport in Israel, taking submachine guns and grenades from their checked luggage and launching a fierce attack on passengers, and the airport was suddenly covered in blood.
The attack killed about 100 people, 24 of whom died.
