In today's One Of the Brands collection, we take you across the Atlantic to meet Iu Franquesa from Barcelona, Spain. He is the founder and sole employee of the Composite Denim brand. As a Spanish denim enthusiast, Iu Franquesa also regularly shares her cattle breeding experience in the cowboy community, so she is also a celebrity in the local cowboy circle.

Before telling the story of the brand, it is first important to understand that Fran has spent almost his entire life in the textile industry. As a child, he spent most of his time with his father in an industrial laundry factory, where many of his unprocessed primary-color jeans were washed and treated as necessary. So when Fran decided to create his own brand, he was no stranger to the world of the original denim industry.

After more than a year of preparation, in 2013 The Composite Denim was finally established. Fran believes that although primary color jeans have become popular in North America and certain parts of Asia. However, he believes that the economy and per capita income in Spain have been rising, which will inevitably prompt consumers to change their dressing habits, and in the future, they will gradually move from fast fashion to the pursuit of durable vintage clothing. On the day of its founding, Companion released their first product. The jeans, called Joel 01C, are a pair of slim-fit jeans for 13.5Oz. Use Cone Mills red red-eared denim. The jeans themselves are made from sanforized (pre-shrunk) right-twill cotton, have a separate brand logo, are limited to 40 pieces, and sell for $190. Later, slim straight-leg pants were added to this collection, and a series of 21oz heavy jeans were also produced. (The picture below shows Joel 01 after wearing 1 year))

Just as Fran has always loved Dior Homme jeans! Companion Denim's brand has also been adhering to simplicity and wearability in production. From the design of the jeans to the final product, he personally supervised and ensured that the jeans products were always of high quality. In addition, in order to make the jeans more unique, he can also provide consumers with custom leather tags and inner pocket patterns. The denim used by Fran comes from almost all of the famous factories, including Cone mills, Kurabo, Collect, Kuroki, Candiani and ITV. He also used a variety of machines in the sewing process, including the Singer 69K12 lock sewing machine, Union Special 43200G, Cornely chain sewing machine and Refrey Transforma sewing machine.
