Manuel, the long-lived 'male elephant tortoise'

author:Love to blah blah

One day in 1982, Manuela, a red-legged tortoise kept by a Brazilian family, suddenly disappeared. When my grandfather passed away in 2013, the family found the turtle that had disappeared for more than 30 years while sorting out the relics, and the whole family couldn't believe their eyes.

According to The Dodo, Amoda had heard her mother mention several times as a child about a pet turtle named Niuela, but she disappeared for some time when Amuda's mother was 8 years old, in 1982, and once thought that she would never see each other again.

Fast forward 30 years, Amuda's grandfather died in 2013, and one day the family gathered in his hometown to sort out the relics, but he saw a turtle in an old wooden speaker. Amoda said, "My mother arrived at the scene crying", and couldn't believe that she had found Manuela, the red-legged tortoise pet.

Incredibly, Manuela was trapped in a storage room and somehow self-reliant for 30 years. The family speculated that it may have survived more than 10,000 days by eating termite larvae in the room.

Now, almost 10 years later, Manuela is taken over by Amuda and continues to take care of it, "because I have a lot of affection for it, it has grown up a lot". Interestingly, Manuela was later discovered to be a male tortoise and was renamed Manuel
