Liu Xuewei graduated from jia youfu studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2002 with a master's degree in literature. In 2013, he graduated from the School of Arts of Chinese University with a doctorate degree in aesthetics. He is currently an associate professor and master tutor of the School of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University, the deputy director of the Institute of Oriental Art of Chinese University, a visiting professor of the National Open University, the main lecturer of the jia youfu studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. His monographs include "The Creation of the Teacher's Heart", "Chinese Painting landscape", "Forbidden City Painting Spectrum • Slope Bank" and so on.
