Song Yin, born in Shanghai in 1986, was named "Yin" because the year of birth was the Year of the Tiger. Different from the general Shanghai girl's taunting and petite, Song Yin's life shows the tenacity and strength of "tiger and tiger" everywhere.
Song Yin graduated from the Department of Navigation of Shanghai Maritime University, and during his time at the school, he was a model student and academic pacesetter, and became a communist party member. After graduating from university in 2008, Song Yin stood out from thousands of people through the strict selection of the Ministry of Transport, was admitted to the First Rescue Flight Team of the East China Sea, and entered the national maritime professional rescue team.
After six years of hard work, Song Yin officially became the search and rescue captain in 2014, one of only two female pilots in China's four existing commercial rescue flight teams.

After joining the First Rescue Flight Team in the East China Sea, Song Yin went to Adelaide Flight Academy in Australia from 2009 to April 2010 to study.
Adelaide Flight Academy Australia is the "highest training class" for pilots in the world, where trainees come here to train in a "hellish" devil rather than to learn. Song Yin had to learn from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. every day, and the textbooks were stacked up as tall as a person.
The training course for maritime search and rescue pilots includes theoretical learning and practical exercises, and the whole process is highly difficult and high-intensity. For example, one of the links is to put the flight cadets in a "cage" and throw them directly into the water to examine their professional strength, adaptability and psychological quality.
Where does the ability of the maritime search and rescue pilot to "go to heaven and enter the sea" come from? It is by this kind of demonic training that it is made.
This kind of assessment intensity is not something that ordinary people can bear, and male flight cadets with physical advantages may not be able to do it, but Song Yin and another female cadet, Wan Qiuwen, successfully did it, successfully won the commercial helicopter flight license issued by the Australian Civil Aviation Authority and the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Authority, and became the first generation of female rescue helicopter pilots in China.
Song Yin said that the standards of pilots for everyone are the same, and there is no distinction between men and women on the plane. When choosing to fly, both men and women must be equally calm, objective and brave.
On the road to becoming a search and rescue captain, Song Yin was "fierce" enough to train himself to be like a man. It is with this fierceness that she has been able to stand out and become the best in the field.
The rescue operation at sea is a race against time and death, and requires the search and rescue pilot to judge decisively and strike quickly.
In December 2016, Song Yin and his companions received an emergency rescue mission. At that time, a fishing boat in the East China Sea caught fire, and 10 crew members were trapped and in danger.
Because the sea wind and waves are too large, the positioning of the fishing boat has drifted, the huge fire on the ship makes the gas tank and the oil tank may explode at any time, resulting in the risk of ship destruction and death, and the billowing smoke caused by the fire brings difficulties to the hovering of the helicopter.
At the critical moment, the search and rescue team decisively attacked and decided to take a high-rope two-person rescue operation, with Song Yin controlling the helicopter. Song Yin piloted the helicopter to relay at the fastest speed, worked closely with the lifeguards, and successfully rescued 10 crew members.
Song Yin said that every time he saves someone, he will have a sense of accomplishment in his heart, and he feels that it is very meaningful to live.
Some people say that she is "the most beautiful search and rescue person" and "the most handsome female pilot", and some people praise her as a "people's hero", but Song Yin said that she is just an ordinary person.
