Where is Persia?
Persia is the old name transliteration of The Ancient Greek and Latin of Iran in Europe, which means that Persia is an import of Iran. Historically, many empires have been established in West Asia, Central Asia, and South Asia, such as the Achaemenid Dynasty, the Sassanid Dynasty, and the Safavid Empire. Stretching from the Indus River and the Green Ridge in the east, the Balkan Peninsula and the Mediterranean Sea in the west, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea in the south, and the Caucasus Mountains and the Aral Sea in the north, the Persian Empire was the first great empire to span the three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa. Persia arose in the southwestern part of the Iranian plateau, and since 600 BC the Greeks have called this region "Persia". Until 1935, Europeans used Persia to refer to the region and the ancient monarchical states located in the region. The Persians, on the other hand, began to call their ancient monarchy ElanShahr from the time of the Sassanid Empire (second Persian Empire), meaning "Aryan Empire". Since the 3rd century AD, Iran has called itself a state founded by the Aryans, and Aryans are pronounced "Iran" in Persian.
