Pay attention and learn more about sheep raising together!

In the spring and summer, the sheep go out to graze and there is a lot of grass to eat. Adult sheep know which grasses can be eaten and which cannot be eaten, which is not a big problem, but young sheep (especially those who have just grazed with the flock) often eat them by mistake because they cannot distinguish toxic substances, which causes poisoning. Common poisonous herbs are: white-headed eagle in spring, poisonous parsley, Du Peng flower leaves, etc.; Wild peach leaves, mountain apricot leaves, oleander leaves in summer; Autumn sorghum and corn stubble seedlings, castor leaves (hemp seed leaves), etc. The same is true for calves, which can also be eaten by mistake.

After the sheep is found to have eaten poisonous herb poisoning, it is immediately washed with 0.5% ~ 1% tannic acid or 5% ~ 10% charcoal powder, and after 2 to 3 consecutive times, the iodine solution (iodine 1g, potassium iodide 2g, water 1.5L) is taken internally for 100 to 200 mL, and then taken once after 2 to 3 h, and 5% to 10% dilute hydrochloric acid can also be filled, 250 mL for adult sheep, and 100 to 200 mL for lambs aged 3 to 8 months. For more severe poisoning, the rumen can be cut open, the toxic contents are removed, and then the adsorbent, viscose or laxative are applied.
