In order to trace that history and feel this deep affection, the six-episode large-scale TV series "Children of the Nation" is like a long picture, recording the special fate between many grassland Erji, Abba and the "children of the country", the blood and milk blend, the love is like the sea, selfless dedication, and the caring people, scholars, writers, artists, etc. influenced by this, depicting a historical fact full of great love. With the most moving pictures and the ordinary lives of group characters, it interprets the benevolence and fraternity that transcends the region and the nation.

Shang Wenda and Song Ran, the producers and chief producers of the documentary, talked about the entire process of writing and filming, and they couldn't help but sigh with emotion: This documentary took less than a year from writing, filming to production and broadcasting, and the time was tight, the task was heavy, and the front line was long. From Hulunbuir, the easternmost part of Inner Mongolia, to Alxa, the westernmost part, from the Xilin Gol Steppe in the north of the motherland to Guangzhou in Guangdong and Jiangyin in Jiangsu province on the southeast coast... The journey is hundreds of thousands of miles, and hundreds of people are interviewed.
"Children of the Nation" does not fix the perspective and entry point on a theme and a character, but has multiple subjects according to the different themes of each episode, expanding the dimension of the perspective, traveling through time and depicting emotions. The identities of the interviewees are diverse, some are witnesses to the story, some are the narrators of the story, and some are witnesses to the story. They built a bridge between the audience and the filming team, so that the audience could have a deeper understanding of that history and the emotions that the filming team wanted to express.

The last episode of the documentary records the love stories of the "Guangdong Grassland Love Team" and its initiator Mr. Zhang Yuhang and others, the "Love Team" with the original intention of "giving back to students and thanking Inner Mongolia", in 25 years, funded 5,000 children from poor families across Inner Mongolia to complete their studies. Nowadays, most of the children who have been helped by the Guangdong "Grassland Love Team" have successfully completed their studies, and they have done their best to help people in need, and it is precisely because of the great love of grassland mothers that these caring people have become one with the grassland.
