The villagers went down with a hoe and dug out the ancient "true dragon", the ninth wonder of the world by archaeologists

China is one of the countries with the oldest civilization in the world, archaeologically found a lot of prehistoric tomb sites, but also unearthed a lot of precious cultural relics; in addition to prehistoric sites, the ancient tomb sites of the three generations are also very many, of which the "Sanxingdui site" located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River is considered to be one of the three ancient three generations of sites. But how was Sanxingdui discovered?

In fact, this has to start from the 20s of the last century, when the villagers in the Sanxingdui area dug up a lot of jade relics in the ground, which was valued by the experts of the Republic of China, but because of the limited technology at that time, these cultural relics were considered to be the jade of the Han Dynasty, and the ancient tomb site was also considered to be the site of the Han Dynasty. In the 1920s, the archaeological study of this ancient tomb site was hastily concluded.

After the founding of New China, archaeological research was conducted on the Sanxingdui site, but there were no major archaeological discoveries. Until the 1980s, the local villagers dug up cultural relics in the ruins again, when the villagers were hoeing the ground, a hoe went down, and the hoe actually made a "poof" sound. The villagers thought that they had dug up the stone, and after turning over the dirt on it, they found that it was actually a large green object, and this cultural relic was known as a "bronze mask" of the first-class cultural relics. Since then, archaeologists have begun to realize that this is a site of the ancient Xia and Shang dynasties, and there are countless cultural relics in the ancient tombs, and after the approval of archaeological excavations, archaeologists from all over the country rushed to this place to carry out archaeological excavations of the ancient tombs.

The first place to start is the place where the villagers dug out this artifact with a hoe, which is the place where archaeology has designated it as the no. 1 pit. Among the artifacts unearthed in Pit No. 1, the most surprising thing is a "real dragon". What's going on? It should be known that the Chinese dragon totem originated from the period of the Three Emperors and Five Emperors of the Ancients, and the ancient Shu Kingdom had a close connection with the Central Plains in the ancient times, and even mentioned in the history books that the Yellow Emperor also had a relationship with the ancient Shu, so it is not surprising that the Chinese dragon cultural relics unearthed at Sanxingdui are not surprising at all, and this cultural relic is the "climbing dragon column".

The column section of this "true dragon" cultural relic is oval in shape, the top of the column is obliquely flat, the top of the column has a dragon, the dragon's mouth is wide open, the teeth are exposed, two front paws lie on the top of the column, and there is a pair of sickle-shaped large ears on the dragon head and a pair of horns on the inside of the ears. It can be said that this cultural relic is very anti-heavenly, not only the shape is very peculiar, but also the casting process is very difficult, and the image of the lifelike dragon-shaped cultural relics is very consistent with the middle dragon.

In fact, in addition to this "dragon climbing column" cultural relics related to dragons, the most precious national treasure-level cultural relics excavated from Sanxingdui, "Bronze Sacred Tree", are also related to dragons. You know, this is a symbol of the Chinese myth and legend of the Tongtian God Tree "Fusang", the cultural relics not only have the sun god bird, but also the lower part of the sacred tree hangs a dragon, the dragon's head is down, the tail is on the top, and the death is colorful. It can be said that many of the cultural relics unearthed by Sanxingdui are related to the traditional Chinese dragon, in addition to these two dragon cultural relics, there are also precious cultural relics such as dragon ornaments and dragon and tiger statues.

Nowadays, the Sanxingdui ruins and Jinsha ruins of the ancient Shu Kingdom have begun to prepare for the application, Jinsha and Sanxingdui are originally world-class cultural heritage, and the successful application for the heritage will be recognized and respected by the industry. The Jinsha site is considered to be a follow-up development of the Sanxingdui site and also belongs to the ancient Shu state site.
