On the morning of October 23, a villager in Shadigou Village, Tuanbao Town, Lichuan City, found a large bird like an eagle next to a fish pond in the village, and this big bird squatted motionless on a bamboo pole. Villagers reported to the town forestry station and called their companions to send the birds to the village office to wait for the arrival of the forestry station staff.
After the forestry station staff arrived at the scene, the villagers involved in the rescue operation guarded the big bird, and the enthusiastic villagers went home to bring fresh pork to feed the big bird.
Identified by the staff of the forestry station, the rescued eagle-like wild animal is called the Golden Eagle (scientific name: Aquila chrysaetos), which is a national level I key protected bird, belonging to the falcon-like eagle family, and is a bird of prey.
The staff of the forestry station conducted a comprehensive examination of the golden eagle and found no obvious scars, but the golden eagle was mentally weak, and according to preliminary analysis, it was caused by illness and other reasons. After the staff of the forestry station asked the Yebao Unit of the Lichuan Forestry Bureau, together with the villagers, they sent the golden eagle to the Icheon Wildlife Conservation and Rescue Station, where it was released back into nature after it was restored to health.
