On May 14, 2022, accompanied by local professionals, our museum visited the Highland Red Lake Scenic Area in the small town of Caminha in northern Chile to explore the "red gem" that nature has given to Indian tribes.

(1) A pure land on earth. Legend has it that the red of this red lake comes from the tears of the maiden who was sent to the altar, and this deep red also has the meaning of driving away evil spirits in the town. In fact, it is only the color of sediment, algae or minerals at the bottom of the lake, and the lake water is as clear as a mirror. The average altitude of the Red Lake Scenic Area is 3800 meters, and it is rarely inhabited due to the steep terrain and bumpy roads. This really echoes Wang Anshi's sentence that "the wonders of the world, the wonders, the strangeness, and the extraordinary view are often in the dangers and far reaches, and the places where people are rare are rare." Currently, the Lake District is privately owned by a local Indian, and all visitors are required to obtain their prior consent. I think it is in this unique way that the Indians guard this pure land, holding regular sacrifices and continuing their inherent mantle. In today's rapid development of modern civilization, indians are so persistent that it is admirable, but perhaps the future may not be expected.
(2) Inheritance of ancient and modern civilizations. This land originally belonged to Peru, and during the Pacific War in South America, Chile defeated the combined forces of Peru and Bolivia and obtained the above-mentioned land in Peru. She is imprinted with the unique style of the Inca civilization, and the traditional methods of terraced planting and water diversion irrigation in the ancient Incas continue to this day. The contiguous farmland we saw along the way rolled in this deep gorge, and the ancient wisdom brought greenery and vitality to the town.
Originating from the Andes Mountains, the Camina River is 150 kilometers long, nourishing the Camina Gorge where the small town is located, coupled with the fertile land, suitable climate, for a long time, the valley of the valley has developed agricultural economy, rich in garlic, potatoes, corn, onions, alfalfa, these specialty crops support chile's largest region "vegetable basket", for the entire region of vegetable security to contribute a lot.
(3) Cities urgently need to be developed. The lake district belongs to the small city of Caminha in the Tarapaka region of the north of Zhi, the city covers an area of about 2200 square kilometers, the altitude is about 2400 meters, the population is less than 2000 people, the style of the whole town or village or town, as if isolated peach blossom source, is not at all like the fashion trend of the city "master", but she with her knife-like steep peaks, ravines-like rugged mountain roads, scattered French cottages and simple and quiet stone paths, silently tell her vicissitudes of the past, peaceful flashing her ancient glory.
The development of the entire small city is lagging behind, ignoring education, sparse population, lack of agricultural technology and scientific and technological innovation, and the young and strong labor force has left the country. It is said that there is only one school, one teacher and one student here. General Secretary Xi Jinping said, "Education is prosperous, the country is prosperous, and education is strong, the country is strong", sincerely speaking! Without education, without science and technology, without talents, social development is like water without a source and wood without roots, with no foothold and no sustainability.
On the other hand, last year we achieved the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way, solved the problem of absolute poverty in a historic way, opened a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country, and ushered in a bright prospect for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Touching the scenery, I deeply sighed, we are fortunate to grow up in the prosperous China, let us forge ahead, live up to Shaohua!
