Giant pandas eat leftover bamboo for squid to use as an egg-laying bed?!
The World of Adventure theme park in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture currently houses seven giant pandas that eat about 50 tons of bamboo poles and 50 tons of bamboo leaves every year. Since 2019, the garden has tried to effectively use the bamboo leftovers, such as bamboo poles that are used to make bamboo downlights or as building materials, but the bamboo leaves have not found good uses.
Since the summer of 2017, the number of seagrasses in the local seas has decreased due to changes in the location of currents, resulting in fewer places where squid can spawn. Upon learning of this news, the park laid bundles of bamboo leaves on the seabed near the fishing ports of Seto, Yuzaki, and Igumu on May 17 this year, and will observe them every 1 to 2 weeks until late August. If there is an effect next year will be further promoted.

The ducklings of the Hanoi Duck Specialty Shop in Matsubara City, Osaka Prefecture, "ツムラ本店", ushered in the peak of "going to the countryside to farm".
Soon after hatching each year, these ducklings depart from Osaka to paddy fields throughout Japan to "farm". They work hard to "eat and eat" to weed and pest the rice paddies.
The farming period will continue until the ears droop, because they even eat the ears after they have drooped.
