[Watch House Brand News] With the Berlinerblau Design Studio and the Saxon Watchmaking Factory, Nomos has translated the German watchmaking tradition into a more modern language. Today, to celebrate Glashütte's 175-year history of watchmaking, the brand launches the Tetra Neomatik watch. The new timepiece is automatic, with a larger size, a built-in ultra-thin movement, and a red (421. S2), blue (421. S3), black (421. S4) and off-white (421.S1) four models.
Crafted from polished stainless steel with a signature square case measuring 33 x 33 mm and only 7.3 mm thick, the new watch is equipped with an anti-glare sapphire crystal mirror and a pivot back, with a 30 m water resistance. The double-stepped lugs are elegant and stylish, and its streamlined design is inspired by Art Deco.
According to Nomos, "The dial color scheme uses a technique that is comparable to that of enamel: incident light is not absorbed by an opaque surface, but is reflected. "The new blue dial is brighter and sometimes even looks purple compared to the existing midnight blue dial. Similarly, the red dial emits a strong orange glow in certain lighting conditions.
The dial is paired with rhodium-plated hour-time hands, parity alternating Arabic numerals and slender bar-like hour markers, as well as beige (red; blue; black) or blue (off-white) markers. The origin of the 6 o'clock position and the "neomatik" inscription at the 12 o'clock position echo each other, both decorated in gold. The subdial dial is slightly sunken, combined with a small second hand in red (black; off-white) or silver (red; blue), indicating time information.
With the pivot table back, you can admire the built-in DUW 3001 self-winding calibre. Only 3.2 mm thick and containing 27 gemstones, the movement is fitted with a cut-out two-way winding oscillating weight, the brand's self-developed Swing System escapement and blue steel hairspring, which provides a 43-hour power reserve and is beautifully decorated with Glashütte and fish scales.
Nomos' new Tetra Neomatik comes with a Holvin Premium Cordoba horse skin brown strap with a folding stainless-steel buckle. Each model is limited to 175 pieces, and the exclusive number is engraved on the back of the watch, with a list price of 3,060 euros, equivalent to about 21,740 yuan.
