See the broken window effect from an experience of picking strawberries

author:Observer of Saturn

In the United States in 1969, a psychologist did an experiment in which he put two identical sports cars in two different places. One place is relatively safe and orderly (Zone A) and one place is relatively chaotic (Zone B). Then take off the license plate and open the roof. As a result, the car in Area B was destroyed and the things were stolen until finally the whole car was taken away. The car in Zone A has been parked on the side of the road and ignored. On the basis of this experiment, it has been suggested that if someone breaks the window of a building and the window is not repaired in time, others may be subjected to some exemplary connivance to break more windows. Over time, these broken windows create a sense of disorder, and as a result, in this atmosphere of public insensitivity, crime breeds and flourishes.

Briefly describe the origin of the effect, feel far away from yourself and want to talk about a thing around you. One day a friend and I took me to the countryside to pick strawberries. When you get off the bus at the destination, you will see that there are neat greenhouses. Strawberries are planted inside the greenhouse, but when you walk in, some people's greenhouses are clean and tidy outside, and some people's greenhouses look dirty, although there is no evidence, but the first feeling is to tell yourself that the strawberries in the clean greenhouses are sweeter. On the way to pick strawberries, I suddenly found that several greenhouses were broken, and there were many people inside. When I walked in, I found that the broken greenhouses were planted with greens, and the people crouched on the ground and cut the greens from the roots and threw them aside on the snakeskin bags, which looked very attractive.

When paying the bill, a few people dragged away with a few large snakeskin bags, and then they teased the boss, so many people come every day, planting strawberries should be rich. The owner said bitterly that some greenhouses were previously strawberries, and then they planted some vegetables to eat themselves. I don't know when someone broke the greenhouse into it to steal vegetables, and there was no way to catch them a few times, and then even some people drove over to get vegetables. I looked at the boss with a puzzled face. He went on to tell me that such an order is not worth much, and it is not worth it for you to arrest him for this matter, take it, and you will not come again when you are finished. Let's concentrate on selling our own strawberries. I then asked the boss, are you not afraid that they will steal your strawberries one day after stealing the dish? The boss's face immediately became serious, how could that be. I let them take all the dishes, and the difficulty is to take strawberries? I could only nod my head in acquiescence.

So whether the matter of taking vegetables is caused by others or the reasons of the boss himself, everyone is welcome to discuss.
