Shawan Village is located 4 kilometers southeast of Shangqing Town, at the foot of Shengjingshan National Forest Park, the climate is warm and humid, the wildflowers in the territory grow luxuriantly, and the honey source plants are diverse, which is very suitable for soil bee breeding. Since the beginning of this year, in view of the shortage of labor and lack of funds, the two village committees have closely relied on the advantages of local resources, grasped the cultivation of native bees as a basic industry for rural revitalization, and focused on creating a "sweet cause" for farmers.
In order to make the bee industry bigger and stronger, the two committees of the village formulated and issued the "Three-Year Plan for Soil Bee Breeding in Shawan Village", adopted the model of "collective + cooperative + base + farmer", prepared to establish the "Shawan Village Beekeeping Cooperative", opened the "Shawan Village Honey Processing Factory" with the village collective economy as the main body, sucked the beekeepers in the village and the bee farmers of the surrounding villages into the cooperative, and unified the purchase and processing of honey for sale, forming a one-stop industrialized production pattern of production, processing and sales. The "Longhu Mountain Sacred Well Honey" product logo designed and produced by the village realizes the unified packaging of honey products and sells them online and offline to ensure that beekeeping farmers have "zero risk". At the same time, we will continue to strengthen the professional and technical training of native bee farmers, and strive to improve the breeding level of beekeepers.
At present, the beekeeping farmers in Shawan Village have gone from about 400 boxes last year to about 1100 boxes at present, an increase of about 700 boxes over last year, and nearly one-fifth of the farmers actively participate in the beekeeping industry with an output value of about 2 million. In the next five years, bee farming will be developed to 5,000 boxes, with an output value of about 9 million yuan, effectively consolidating the results of poverty alleviation and helping rural revitalization.
