Imported cases from abroad
At 0-24:00 on May 15, 2022, there was a new confirmed case of imported COVID-19 from abroad. Three cases were cured and discharged from hospital, all from Canada.
The case, a U.S. citizen living in the United States, departed from the United States, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 6 May 2022, and was placed under centralized quarantine and observation after entering customs, during which he developed symptoms. Combined with epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests, and imaging findings, the diagnosis is confirmed as a confirmed case.
The imported confirmed case has been transferred to a designated medical institution for treatment, and close contacts with the flight have previously implemented centralized isolation and observation.
