During the busy season of farming, he often helps his neighbors to plant seedlings and harvest them, which is well received by the villagers.
One day, the Eight Immortals swam to Vulture Peak Mountain, heard the story of the prince, and wanted to try the prince's personality.
The prince herded cattle to the top of the hill and saw eight old men sitting on a boulder playing chess. The prince cut down the moso bamboo, made it into a bamboo tube, and went to the mountain stream to bring spring water for the old people to drink. He stood by and watched the old men play chess, settling down on God. An old man said to him, "We are hungry, and there is a peach tree at the bend of the mountain, so go and pick the peaches from the tree." The prince followed the old man's instructions and walked to the bend of the mountain, and sure enough, there was a peach tree, and there were 9 peaches on the tree, 8 of which were red and large, and 1 of which was very small, and it was bitten by insects. The prince thought, 9 peaches, the big 8 for the old man to eat, this is bitten by the insect, I will eat it first. He went up to the top of the mountain and respectfully handed the 8 large peaches to the old man. An old man said, "Prince, I remember there are 9 peaches on the tree, how come there are only 8 left?" The prince said, "There is a small one that has been bitten by insects, and I will eat it first when I am young, and leave the big and the good ones for the adults to eat."
Previously, the eight immortals had all ignited the immortal power onto the rotten peach that the prince ate. When the prince eats it, he is incarnated as an immortal. Unaware of the twilight, an old man smiled and said to the prince, "We have long heard that you are enthusiastic about helping others, and today we tried it, and it was true." We are the Eight Immortals, and the peach you eat is the Thousand Year Immortal Peach, and after that, you are like us, ranked among the Immortals. You quickly go back to the village to say goodbye to your father and fellow villagers, and when you come back, we will travel around the Fairy World together. ”
When the prince returned to the village, he found that the village had changed its appearance, and the small trees at the head of the village had become large trees that only a few people could hug. The people in the village did not know him. Surprised, he pulled an old man and asked, "Do you know the prince?" The old man told him, "I heard from the elders that once upon a time there was a shepherd boy in the village named a prince who went up the mountain to herd cattle one day and was taken away by the eight immortals to become a fairy." Mr. Private School here has an enlightenment poem that teaches children: "The prince goes up to the Nine Mountains, Dancheng enters the Nine Days, and the Mountain is one day, and the world has been a thousand years.".
