The USNI noted that it was found a few months later that the range was reopened, and that the dock layout of another range resembled a destroyer stop, with model ships; it believed that the location, layout, and past activities of these ranges suggested that China was testing the effectiveness of "anti-carrier missile killers" against targets at sea.
An American analyst said that these targets in the desert are carefully designed, using special materials, it seems to be built by laying metal plates on the ground, and several anti-ship missiles currently owned by China, such as the DF-21D, DF-26, Eagle Strike-21, etc., may test the actual combat effect here.
When the US media hyped up China's desert "military port" and ship target, the South China Morning Post also disclosed that China has the ability to perceive and identify the US aircraft carrier through satellites, and locate its position coordinates in real time, reporting that when the US "Truman" aircraft carrier went to Long Island in New York on June 17 last year to participate in the exercise, China's remote sensing satellites achieved accurate identification and positioning of it.
