This contingent of more than 20,000 people, after more than eighty battles, finally ran out of ammunition, and only 400 people arrived in Xinjiang alive, leaving a page of extreme tragedy in the history of the Red Army.

And those Red Army soldiers who did not die in the struggle, but were captured, spent the darkest years of their lives. More than 2,000 people remained in the Western Route Army were captured, including captured men who were sent to build roads, women who were left in factories and hospitals to do hard work, and some young and beautiful female soldiers who could not escape the fate.
The army that severely damaged the Western Route Army was the "Ma Jia Army" stationed in the northwest, led by Ma Bufang, who was spurned by thousands of people in Chinese history.
Purgatory on Earth Qinghai Province
Ma Bufang was born in Linxia, Gansu in 1903, his grandfather was Ma Haiyan, who served as a military flag officer, and in 1900 he participated in the anti-aggression war against the Eight-Nation Alliance, because of his meritorious protection, he also laid the foundation for Ma Bufang's later military status promotion.

After Ma Haiyan's death, he was succeeded by his son Ma Qi, Ma Qi's father and an extremely brutal warlord. Under the leadership of Ma Qi, Ma Bufang joined the army at the age of 14, and when ma bang led the team, he showed the viciousness of his means at a young age, and the soldiers under his hands said privately: "If there is a father, there must be a son!" ”

It can be seen from this that Ma Bufang and his father Ma Qi are vicious, and the people under them have become commonplace. But Ma Bufang did not care, he always had his own "ambition to be a bird" in his heart.
In 1926, Ma Bufang joined the Northwest Army with his father and officially began his military career. Ma Bufang is good at seeing people and talking, and knows how to win over the forces. Within a few years, he had achieved the first step in his plan: he had become the chairman of Qinghai Province, and Qinghai had become a purgatory on earth.

At that time, the northwest was very rich in minerals, and Ma Bufang had a clever move, requiring the mineral boss to pay a huge fee and dividends with him when he got benefits. And the common people have not been able to avoid their difficulties, Ma Bufang in various names to pay harsh taxes, the people are miserable, had to say behind their backs: "The tiger on the mountain and the wolf on the mountain are not as fierce as Ma Bufang in Qinghai." ”
Ma Bufang also has a "motto" and is proud of it: "Those who give birth to me and those who are born to me are all adulterous." At that time, Qinghai also verified this sentence with bloody experience.

All women of some posture, whether they were the wives and daughters of soldiers, or the sisters and sisters-in-law of the same clan, would be forcibly taken captive by Ma Bufang as concubines, and some would not even have a name, but only for his entertainment.
The people of Qinghai are all panicked about this, afraid that their wives or daughters will never come back when they walk down the street...
But Ma Bufang did much more than that, and after the Western Route Army was annihilated by him in 1936, more than 1,300 female soldiers were taken prisoner, with an average age of less than 20 years old. These female soldiers of the Red Army have turned over the snowy mountains and gnawed the bark of the trees, but they have not escaped the clutches of Ma Bufang.

One of the surviving female soldiers, Li Wenying, once said: "We were locked up in a dirty and smelly room, there were only some black-faced rotten vegetables every day, everyone was extremely hungry, and even the black flowers and leaves in the yard were eaten when the wind was released, but even this did not survive." ”
One day, a horse bandit took them to the courtyard and told them that the Kuomintang had cooperated, that they were going to be free, and that the people on the list were the ones who could walk out of the gate.
The female soldiers believed, but they could only wait for the arrangement. Unexpectedly, this horse bandit turned the list into a paper ball and threw it upwards, only to see the horse bandits and the creeps rush up to grab it, only then did they know that this was the capture of the caste and the wife!

The poor female soldiers preferred to die, but they were still carried out by these hateful horse bandits on all sides, and no one answered them if they shouted and broke their throats.....
Another group of outstanding-looking female soldiers were arranged to Ma Bufang's "song and dance performance troupe", and when they encountered Ma Bufang's coming, they had to sing and dance on stage, and it was even more difficult to escape the bad luck of Ma Bufang's hands.
Among them were two female soldiers with outstanding appearance and excellent physique, named Sun Guiying and Dang Wenxiu. They never forgot the Party in their hearts, never forgot their mission, even if they had been captured and were forced to sing and dance for the enemy, they sang all Red Army songs, so Ma Bufang, who was often angry, broke out and scolded.

Once Bai Chongxi came to Xining to inspect military affairs, Ma Bufang, in order to please him, asked Dang Wenxiu and others to prepare for the dance, dang Wenxiu saw that Ma Bufang attached so much importance to it, and he had a bold plan.
On the stage, Dang Wenxiu, who has been good at dancing since childhood, has a graceful posture, a graceful figure accompanied by melodious music, and the dim light lining Dang Wenxiu's face is like a delicate flower bud, and Bai Chongxi and other people under the stage can't help but be fascinated.
While everyone was deeply immersed in it, Dang Wenxiu quickly and accurately kicked one of his own leather shoes into Bai Chongxi's face, frightening Bai Chongxi, and his guards even mistakenly thought that there was an enemy sneak attack.

This "shoe dancing incident" made Ma Bufang lose face, for which he was very angry, and it was a humiliation to come backstage and catch Dang Wenxiu, and his friend Sun Guiying could not escape.
Ma Bufang, who was absurd and unscrupulous, was thus entrenched in Qinghai for forty years, until 1949, when Peng Dehuai, commander and political commissar of the First Field Army, led an army to attack the northwest led by Lanzhou, and the indispensable "Tu Emperor" Ma Bufang was completely defeated, and the northwest was liberated.

But Ma Bufang was not captured, and he was even prepared.
A knife on the head of the color character
Ma Bufang seemed to have anticipated that Qinghai could not hold on, so he had already prepared a back road for himself. Before the People's Liberation Army could enter, he took a large group of his aunts and wives to leave Qinghai on a plane of the civil aviation brigade.
Ma Bufang and his party first flew to Guangzhou, then to Hong Kong, and finally escaped from Hong Kong. Ma Bufang is very clever, even without a military rank, he has already "packed" all the gold and silver treasures obtained from decades of squeezing the people and transported them overseas.
With the leaning body of gold and silver treasure, Ma Bufang, who went overseas, was not afraid. His first stop was Saudi Arabia, during which he also met with the King of Saudi Arabia. The King of Saudi Arabia was unaware of the war situation on the mainland at that time, and after being boasted by Ma Bufang, he believed that Ma Bufang was an envoy of China.
However, saudi Arabia's climate is very hot and not suitable for Chinese, and Ma Bufang's brother died of heat stroke during this period. The death of his brother woke up Ma Bufang, whose "emperor dream" had not yet been realized, and he did not want to die because of the weather.

In 1950, Ma Bufang decided to move his family to Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Coming to Cairo, Ma Bufang quickly bought a property, opened several companies and apartments, and enjoyed the life of a rich man for a while.
The Ma family and his cronies who followed Ma Bufang to Egypt numbered more than 200 people, including Ma Bufang's cousin Ma Bulong. Ma Bulun did not have any ability, and had always lived by the alms given by Ma Bufang, so did Ma Bufang take him out for refuge because of his family affection?
Obviously, Ma Bufang was not such a person, and it turned out that all he had in mind was Ma Bulon's young wife and four daughters in waiting.

Mablon's wife is a well-known beauty in Qinghai, and her eldest daughter was very prominent when she was 14 years old. Ma Bufang saw it in his eyes, and after coming to Cairo, he couldn't wait to extend his claws to Ma Bulong's eldest daughter, Ma Yuelan.
Ma Bufang first claimed that he wanted Ma Yuelan to come to his company to do things and make some money to supplement the family, but how could Ma Bulun not understand his cousin? After all, it is his own daughter, and even the weakest man is unwilling to send his daughter into the tiger's mouth.
Ma Bufang, who refused, became angry and said to mabulon and his wife, "If you don't give her to me, I want your whole family to live!" ”

Ma Bufang took Ma Yuelan to a villa and told her some blueprints of so-called "painting cakes", telling her that the life of the family would be improved in the future with her, but Ma Yuelan only felt appalling after listening to it, how could there be such a uncle who violated human morality?
But at that time, Ma Yuelan had already drunk the drink mixed with the drug, and the little bit of consciousness that she had was slowly lost in the medicinal properties. When Ma Yuelan woke up after falling asleep, she was already naked, and it was her uncle who was lying next to her!
Mu has become a boat, Ma Yuelan has no choice, and eventually she has become one of Ma Bufang's many aunts. But Ma Bufang could not have imagined that his aunt and wife, who had received on a whim, would make him the target of public criticism.
Saudi Arabia is ugly and infamous
In 1956, China and Egypt made good friends, and Ma Bufang had to return to Saudi Arabia. His life in Saudi Arabia was boring and tedious, with no power in his hands, but Ma Bufang was still dreaming of his emperor.
In 1957, on Chiang Kai-shek's 70th birthday, Ma Bufang quickly contacted his son Ma Jiyuan, who was a "congress representative" in Taiwan, to send Chiang Kai-shek 10,000 taels of gold, and also claimed that he often talked to the king about his ability in Saudi Arabia.

Chiang Kai-shek, who had received the bribe, was overjoyed and heard that Ma Bufang had the ability to do so, so he appointed him as ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Ma Bufang was overjoyed, and his heart longed to recreate the picture of ruling Qinghai.
But Ma Bufang, who had not been the "Saudi ambassador" for a few days, was sent by the Kuomintang to monitor his work. This inspector was none other than an experienced diplomat, Song Xuanquan.

Song Xuanquan was recruited as a diplomat by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1930, and later met his wife abroad, loved him all his life, and raised 6 children together.
After Ma Bufang became the Saudi ambassador, he treated the overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia like the people of Qinghai, and his methods were extremely vicious. At that time, there were more than 8,000 overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia, but there were thousands of overseas Chinese under his control.
Ma Bufang took advantage of his position to withhold the passports of overseas Chinese and force them to send their wives and daughters to his mansion and live the life of an emperor with "three thousand harem beauties".
At that time, Ma Yuelan, who was forcibly married, was also locked up in a dark house, and sometimes he thought of her and tortured her, and then punched and kicked her, treating her like an animal.
Ma Yuelan had to endure everything, even if her body was covered with scars, and she was often beaten so badly that she couldn't get up. But the servant who took care of her was very unbearable in his heart and decided to help Ma Yuelan.
Ma Yuelan, who had received help, immediately thought of Song Xuanquan's wife, because the other party was a foreigner and her husband was a Kuomintang diplomat, so she would not be afraid of Ma Bufang.

So Ma Yuelan wrote a three-page distress letter, in which she accused Ma Bufang of various evil deeds, and asked the servants to deliver the letter to Song Xuanquan's wife overnight.
After reading the letter, Song Xuanquan's wife was indignant for Ma Yuelan, and then discussed a comprehensive strategy with her husband Song Xuanquan, and finally smuggled Ma Yuelan out of Ma Bufang's house.
Ma Yuelan, who had escaped from the Sea of Suffering, did not stop there, because this demon also intended to possess his mother and sister! She must get rid of the demons in order to protect her family.

Subsequently, with the help of Song Xuanquan and his wife, Ma Yuelan personally wrote a letter of accusation to Chiang Kai-shek and the Taiwan newspaper. Suddenly, news with headlines such as "stepping on the flowers and returning to the horseshoe fragrance, the officials are too absurd", "the harem is more beautiful, the niece is full of Chen" and other headlines have poured in.
Ma Bufang, who came from a horse bandit background, could not understand the news, but he knew where Ma Yuelan was hiding. Ma Bufang led his men to the door of Song Xuanquan's house, shouting for them to release them, and even threatened that if Song Xuanquan did not return Ma Yuelan, he would use his daughter instead.

Such words stung Ma Yuelan's heart, and Ma Yuelan did not want her benefactor to be humiliated by this. She quickly ran to the balcony and yelled at Ma Bufang, which was the first time in more than a decade that she had done so.
The confrontation between the two sides for a long time attracted many Arab people to stop, including some Saudi officials.
The astute Ma Yuelan saw this and began to ask for help from the Saudi people in Arabic, and she cried with tears in her eyes about Ma Bufang's evil deeds, saying that he disregarded human morality and occupied her niece, and complained that she had suffered from years of imprisonment.

Ma Yuelan's tearful speech attracted more than 800 people to stop and watch, and for a time the lane was blocked and there was a lot of discussion. The Saudi police were forced to evacuate the people, but Ma Bufang refused to leave, saying that he was the ambassador to Saudi Arabia and was handling his own affairs.
At this time, the Saudi police were not easy to come forward, and finally the personnel sent by Taiwan arrived, which prevented a riot. In the end, Ma Yuelan was also blessed by misfortune and was escorted out of the country by Saudi Arabia.
Ma Yuelan returned to Taiwan, still not forgetting the task of pulling Ma Bufang off his horse. She went around suing Ma Bufang, and Song Xuanquan also contacted the Saudi overseas Chinese in Saudi Arabia and sent their joint accusation letter to Taiwan.
Public opinion continued to ferment, and eventually Chiang Kai-shek had to take measures to remove Ma Bufang from power.

Ma Bufang, who lost power, was like a walking dead, the Saudi people also avoided and scorned him, and Ma Bufang's life for more than a decade was like a pool of stagnant water.
In 1975, Ma Bufang was finally about to end his brutal life, and Ma Yuelan, who was far away in Taiwan, learned of the news through correspondence with Song Xuanquan's wife. Only to see her relieved after reading the letter, she gently pushed open the window on the second floor and enjoyed the long-lost breeze.
