Recently, the opening film of the 74th Cannes Film Festival was finalized for "Annette" directed by Leo Carax and starring Adam Dreifer and Marion Cotillard.

Annette is Leo Carax's first English-language film, and the screenplay and music for the film will be composed by Ron Mael and Russell Mael from the veteran American band Sparks, telling the tragic story of a comedian played by Adam Dreifer and his two-year-old daughter. The film was shortlisted for the main competition section of this year's Cannes Film Festival and will be released in France on the opening day of the 74th Cannes Film Festival on July 6.

Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the organizing committee of the Cannes Film Festival in France announced that the 74th Cannes Film Festival, which was scheduled to be held from May 11 to 22, 2021, will be postponed to July 6-17, and the official film list will be announced at the end of May.
