Why was Mingyue's "Those Things of the Ming Dynasty" so good?? Recently I was revisiting this book because Sun Yue's "Those Things of the Ming Dynasty" in the form of commentaries on the Himalayas was really good. Although the level of Sun Yue's commentary is still relatively immature, it seems cute and interesting, coupled with his voice that exudes a kind and gentle nature, I was fascinated by it, and I accidentally discovered one of the secrets of this book:
Mingyue was too good at telling stories that year!
And this is a story spanning more than four hundred years composed of many celebrities, emperors, generals, and large and small characters.
He tells a very attractive point about historical stories: he looks down at the whole story from above, and from time to time he says:
"How will this man be in three years",
"If he had known that in ten years he would have been... I guess it won't be like this...",
"There will be someone who will change that in seven years",
"Unlike these Ming officials, in the Qing Dynasty two hundred years later, officials competed to invite the emperor to travel, because..."
This makes people look very enjoyable, you have the eye of crossing, you are like looking at the three-dimensional space from the four-dimensional space, the stories of historical figures that are higher than you, the mysteries to be solved, but in your overall mastery, wow, this is addictive, powerful!
Good books, must be telling stories especially cattle.
