Yi Zhongtian's works: Nobles can't do hooligans

The nobility can't be a rogue

How could Xiang Yu lose to Liu Bang? Xiang Yu is a hero and Liu Bang is a scoundrel, Xiang Yu is a nobleman and Liu Bang is a rogue. Xiang Yu's origin is very noble. His family was known as the "Ming Clan" at that time. The Xiang Yu clan is very a bit of a leader. According to historical records, Xiang was originally a feudal state with the surname of the descendants of the Yellow Emperor (Yinji) in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and its place was in present-day Xiangcheng County, Henan Province. In the Spring and Autumn Period, the Xiang state was destroyed by the state of Lu. Later, when the State of Chu destroyed Lu, it gave Xiang Yu's ancestors the title of Xiang Yu, and the family was hence the surname Xiang.

The Xiang clan, which was sealed in Xiangdi, has been a general of the Chu state for generations. When xiang Yu's grandfather Xiang Yan arrived, his luck was not very good. Xiang Yu himself was born in Xiaxiang, in present-day Suqian County, Jiangsu Province. Later, he fled with his uncle Xiang Liang to Wuzhong, which is now Wu County, Jiangsu.

Liu Bang's ancestors, the old Liu family, were not so prominent.

Liu Bang's parents, who were neither courtiers nor social elites, may not even have names. The "Chronicle of History" says that Liu Bang was "the father of Taigong, the mother of Liu Mi", translated into modern Chinese is Liu Uncle Liu Dama. Of course, uncles and aunts are not names, it can be seen that they are "nameless people".

Liu Bang himself actually has no name. The history books say that he "changed his name to Bang" in the "season of small characters", which shows that the name "Bang" was added after he was founded. Liu Bang was lazy and idle since he was a child, and later, he finally found an errand of "Surabaya Pavilion Chief".

Xiang Yu and Liu Bang were not obedient and obedient children when they were teenagers, but xiang Yu was a clumsy person and Liu Bang was a goon. The "Records of History" said that Xiang Yu "did not succeed in learning books, but to learn swords, but not to succeed." Xiang Yu's uncle Xiang Liang was very annoyed, because the nobles attached great importance to the education of their children.

Xiang Yu said that he learned to write, but he could write down other people's names, what was the use? Learning swordplay is only a victory over one person, and it is not worth learning. To learn, learn to defeat millions of people. Xiang Liang thought that it was also reasonable, so he taught him the art of war. Xiang Yu was overjoyed. However, the learning is not serious.

Therefore, Liu Bang and Xiang Yu, the two guys who did not learn any skills, had the same thoughts as Chen Sheng. When Qin Shi Huang visited JiShan, Xiang Liang took Xiang Yu to see the liveliness. Who knew that xiang Yu looked at it and blurted out: "He can take the place of him!" Frightened, Xiang Liang quickly covered his mouth. Liu Bang went to Xianyang because he was running errands for the government, and when he saw the pomp and circumstance of Qin Shi Huang, he also said with a sigh of relief: "Oh, the eldest husband should be like this!"

However, if we compare the words of Chen Sheng, Xiang Yu, and Liu Bang together, we can still taste different flavors. Chen Sheng's "Prince General Xiang Ning has a kind of hu", which is full of challenges. Moreover, the object of challenge is not only the Qin Dynasty, but fate, so there is a spirit of not recognizing fate and not believing in evil, so it has the highest style among the three theories.

Xiang Yu's words were full of heroism, and he said crisply and neatly: "He can take his place!" "That breath is like taking something out of a bag. In Xiang Yu's eyes, the "First Emperor" who unified all of China was not great, and even deserved to be called "Pi", and he could replace him casually. It's confidence, it's also arrogance.

Liu Bang's words were not so grand, and some were just a rogue rogue's covetousness of the rich and the noble. "The big husband should do so too!" In other words, people with ability want to live like this. But what if it can't be? Probably just that. This is certainly not heroic at all, but it is also true.

Indeed, Liu Bang was a pragmatist, and Xiang Yu was a man of temperament.

When Liu Bang said, "The great husband should be like this," his purpose was very clear, that is, to live like a person like Qin Shi Huang.

What Xiang Yu valued was not glory and wealth, but heroic performance. That is, he values not the result (so) but the process (substitution).

The most able to show Xiang Yu's character was when he was defeated. What was he thinking about in this last moment of life and death? It was the beauty named Yu and the horse named Yu. The story of this famous overlord Bieji is well known to everyone: the night is already dark, there are Chu ge on all sides, and huge candles are lit in the king's tent, and bright torches are lit outside the tent. Our young hero drank the wine in his glass and stood up to sing generously and sadly: "Pull up the mountain and be angry!" The times are not good! Don't die! Yu Xi Yu Xi Nai Ruo!" This last sentence translates to: Xiao Yu, Xiao Yu, what can I do with you! A commander of the three armed forces who has experienced hundreds of battles, a hero who is mighty in the world, at this moment, it is not his failure to fail, but the beloved horse beauty cannot be arranged. He also did not consider how to turn defeat into victory, turn danger into safety, and did not consider how to break out of the siege and make a comeback. It can be seen that he did not take the final victory very seriously at the beginning.

Liu Bang would not be so stupid.

Contrary to Xiang Yu's invincibility, Liu Bang has not been very smooth. Of course, Liu Bang was not without winning battles. The Qin capital Xianyang was captured by him, and the Prince of Qin surrendered to him. According to the original agreement, "the king of the xianyang who entered Xianyang first", Liu Bang should have been the lord of the world, or at least should be a king of Guanzhong. But how? Not only did he have to give up Xianyang to him, But Xiang Yu went to burn and plunder, and he himself swallowed his anger and went to become the king of Hanzhong. Obviously, in that era of the weak and the strong, there is strength to speak. Liu Bang's strength was not as good as Xiang Yu's, so although he had "morality" (entering Guanzhong first, destroying Qin and surrendering, about three chapters of the Law, and Qiu did not commit any crimes), he had to close his mouth.

For that ultimate victory, Liu Bang did many things that Xiang Yu could not do, such as Corporal Li Xian, listening to advice, correcting mistakes, restraining desires, and after entering Qin, he made three chapters of the Law, Qiu did not commit any crimes, and so on. This made him very popular. We must win the hearts of the people of the world, and we must also have the hearts of our courtiers and soldiers. In fact, Liu Bang's greatest strength is to know people and make good use of them. After Liu Bang became emperor, he discussed with his courtiers why Xiang Yu lost the world and why he won the world. Liu Bang said: In the midst of strategizing, I am not as good as Zhang Liang in winning a decisive victory thousands of miles away; I am not as good as Xiao He in the town of the state, caring for the people, supplying military supplies, and endless grain. Millions of people, the battle will be won, the attack will be conquered, I am not as good as Han Xin. These three are the best talents in the world, but they can be used by me, so I have won the world. Xiang Yu only has one Fan Zeng and can't use it, can he not fail?

Xiang Yu looked down on Han Xin, but Han Xin was talented, but Xiang Yu couldn't see it. It was precisely because of Xiang Yu's arrogance that many poor and incompetent people who had no ability but had talents ran to Liu Bang, who "recruited and rebelled and hid dirt and dirt." As a result, Liu Bang became the climate, and Xiang Yu became a "lonely man".

In fact, this is also the common disease of all noble people. Because of their nobility, they often cannot tolerate people, and they also claim that they cannot tolerate sand in their eyes and dust in their chests. However, they do not know that the reason why the ocean is vast is precisely to accommodate it. Xiang Yu did not understand this truth, and his failure was taken for granted.
