01 One-stop braces (Zahnspange) service
The cost of a complete set of orthodontics fluctuates between 1500 and 15000 euros;
First of all, there is a difference between adults and children:
Less than 18 years (ideal orthodontic age is 10 to 14 years):
If orthodontics is for the sake of beauty, parents need to bear the cost of orthodontic stents;
If orthodontics such as jaw misalignment affect normal function, the public security reimbursement, but the parents need to pay 20% (not necessarily 20%, depending on the choice of public insurance), and the 20% of the cost can be reimbursed after the end of treatment.
Over 18 years of age:
Orthodontics for the sake of beauty, public insurance will not be reimbursed at all.
The whole tooth is for the treatment of the disease, and the communiqué only reimburses the cost of the braces, and it is not fully reimbursed, but reimbursed according to a certain proportion;
Reason: Adults have a long orthodontic time, need to let the dentist adjust the braces every month, and need to carry out regular follow-up examinations, the cost is high, and in the absence of medical necessity, the public insurance is not reimbursed.
Not free choice of fixed or invisible braces:

02 Additional insurance about teeth
Additional dental rider insurance includes services not covered by public insurance (of course, even if there is additional insurance, you need to pay a certain fee yourself, not to say that the additional insurance is fully reimbursed).
Dental prophylaxe (Zahnprophylaxe)
Tooth scaling is related, and the reimbursement amount of different additional insurance is different;
In the case of AXA, the basic package starts at 2.5 euros per month (the fee increases with age, such as 7.5 euros per month for 1990);
Slightly more expensive packages start at 15 euros and reimburse up to 100 euros per year for prevention costs.
Of course, the public insurance reimburses the cost of scaling teeth, but it requires the doctor to prescribe a certificate of medical necessity for scaling the teeth, and this certificate can not be opened to see the dentist.
Dental treatment (Zahnbehandlungen)
It will not be fully reported and reimbursed according to the relevant proportions;
Ditto packages, 75% reimbursement for packages starting at 15 euros per month (premium packages start at 30 euros per month, up to a maximum of 90%).
Dentures (Zahnersatz)
That is, a denture (root canal treatment, etc.), the reimbursement ratio is the same as above.
In public insurance, the treatment of teeth includes only the most basic standard services, and it is also the cheapest kind of reimbursement, such as the nail embedded in the crown to maintain the most basic performance;

For international students, tooth-related treatment costs, public insurance is reimbursed, such as not spending a penny to extract wisdom teeth, ordinary material tooth filling (resin filling is to pay for their own money), etc., as long as it is not for the beauty of the teeth, there is a proof of medical necessity, with the most basic materials, public insurance can be fully reimbursed.
Of course, the specific situation depends on the individual. For example, there are dental care needs, good materials, etc., additional insurance can save some costs.
