Lyon Women's Football Club, winner of the Champions League on January 16, officially announced that the team has completed a contract extension with Japan international Sagi Kumagaya, and the new contract between the two sides will expire in the summer of 2021.
Sashi Kumagaya, 29, has played in several positions in the midfield. Since joining Lyon in 2013, she has won six consecutive Ligue 1 titles and four consecutive Champions League titles with the team.
On the national team, she won the Women's World Cup with Japan once, and also won a World Cup runner-up and an Olympic Runner-up.
In 2019, Sayuki Kumagaya became Miss Football Asia for the first time.
