On 5 May, Her Majesty Queen Margaret II of Denmark received a delegation of friends of the Royal Stables at the Horse Riding House at Christiansborg Castle. The reception was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Queen's succession, and the delegation presented a white horse as a gift to the Queen.

The horse was named "Avanti" and replaced "Rudolfo Raggiera V-54". Therefore, Czech iron hoofers will be in charge of daily activities in the Royal Stables in Christiansborg Ridebane (Christiansborg) which already has a royal white kladruber. Kladruber, the name of the (white) horse breed in the Royal Stables, is a descendant of the Czech horse breeding town Kladruby nad Labem (Kladrubi on Rabe), located 80 km from Prague, the Czech capital. The Czech stallion is one of the oldest stallions in the world and since 1994 it has bred the model for the Royal Stables Institution at the request of Prince Henrik.

Founded on 21 November 1992, the Friends of the Royal Stables was an association founded on the initiative of Poul Lindegaard, the then stables's administrator, to provide practical arrangements and financial support for the Royal City institutions and staff. Today, the Friends of the Royal Stables have 115 members.

Upon her arrival, the Queen was greeted and received by the President of the Royal Stables, The Court Marshal Kim Christensen, and the Vice-President, the stables administrator Nils Landlef, and others.
