Before marrying Prince Harry, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, was the wife of Hollywood filmmaker and entertainer agent Trevor Engelson, who had been in a relationship back in 2004 and married in 2011, but Meghan and Engelson divorced after only two years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable disagreements." Megan and her ex-husband, Engerson, both work in Hollywood, but the filmmaker and artist agent made a brutal assessment of his ex-wife's film and television career.

In her twenties and early thirties, duchess Sussex and Engerson had a relationship of nearly a decade. They both wanted to get into Hollywood, with Megan as an actor and Engelsen as a filmmaker. According to the book "Megan: Hollywood Princesses," Engelsen admitted that he wanted to be a director at first, but was worried that he would not be able to do the job. Engelsen reportedly said: "I realise you need talent to do that, so it's not possible. Instead, Engelsen worked for an agency before starting his own film and television production company. Megan's ex-husband has worked on several films, including Remember Me, a story about 9/11 starring Robert Pattinson.

Megan and Engerson met in 2004 at a Hollywood bar, started dating, and lived together in Los Angeles. They married in Jamaica in September 2011, where they had a 4-day wedding, but just 18 months later they separated. Unfortunately, Meghan even moved to Toronto, Canada to shoot The Gold Lawyer, which also marked the end of their marriage. In 2013, Meghan and Engerson were granted a no-fault divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable disagreements. Both of them started families with others — Meghan married Prince Harry in 2018, trevor married nutritionist Tracy Courland in 2019.

Megan's ex-husband voiced: She has no talent in film and television, she has never really "fired", and when Engerson first met Megan, he was 25 years old and already ran the production company Underground. At the same time, Megan is just a small little actor struggling on the edge of the entertainment industry, jumping from one audition to another to trying to get her big breakthrough, but only in some movies and TV shows to get very small roles. In 2006 and 2007, Meghan played a pro girl on the video game variety show Deal or No Deal, while Engerson filmed the marriage comedy License to Wed, starring Robin Williams and Mandy Moore. This is clearly a source of "conflict" in their relationship, as Engerson didn't do much more to help Meghan succeed in the film and television industry.

Royal writer Andrew Morton wrote: "Meghan secretly wanted a role for her, but the smaller roles that might have suited her were reserved for more experienced actresses who had worked with director Ken Kwapis on the TV series The Office. This became a source of conflict between the couple, and Megan was disappointed that Engelsen had not made an effort to get her to work on some of his works. Eventually, Meghan had a major breakthrough in the legal television series The Lawyer in Gold, although ironically, it was the main reason for her divorce from her ex-husband Engerson.

How much is Megan so similar to her ex-husband? In order to get ahead, they are good at using all resources. For Engelsen, however, his career has not been smooth sailing. When he was still in high school in New York, he began working as a production assistant. Later, he entered the Annenberg School of Film Arts at the University of Southern California. After graduating in 1998, Mr. Engelsen worked on the low-budget film "Safe Men" and later got a job as an assistant in Deep Blue Sea. The producers involved in this sci-fi horror film are what motivated Engelson to pursue a career as a filmmaker.

The royal writer Mr Morton wrote: "During this time in the office he studied how his bosses — the filmmakers — worked, and he loved everything he saw on his own." It seems that their work does not require too much effort, but they can make a lot of money and marry the most beautiful girls. Megan's ex-husband, Engerson, reportedly approached one of the filmmakers named Alan Ritchie and told him, "Alan Ritchie, I want to do the work you do, I want to be a producer." Ritchie suggested that Engelsen gain some experience at an agency and referred him to Endeavour.

Engelson started as an intern in the mailroom, climbed up step by step to get ahead, and finally became an assistant to the film literary agent Chris Donnelly. However, according to Morton, Megan's ex-husband Engerson's "huge ambitions" hindered his career. During donnelly's vacation, Engerson sent the unauthorized script to the actors and director on letterhead printed with Endeavour's letterhead. Engelsen thought he was a "man of active work", only to be fired for "exceeding his authority". Nevertheless, Engelsen quickly recovered and was appointed by OZ Pictures as an assistant to Nick Osborne and Jeffrey Zaino.

Engelsen reportedly said: "They need a con artist who can get food to the table. Eventually, Osborne left, founding the production company Underground, and Engelsen followed him. During this time, they created films that included Warner Bros. 'Marriage License'. In 2011, Osborne left the company to focus on writing through a new company, and Engelsen continued to run the production company Underground, and the two parted ways.
