DJI Mini 3 Pro drone unboxing and getting started video ahead of schedule

author:cnBeta

Yesterday, DJI announced that it will hold a spring-summer chip conference at 21:00 Beijing time on May 10, the theme of this event is "a twist in the plot", which is likely to launch a new drone. Before the start of the conference, there were anchors on the YouTube channel who shared the unboxing and hands-on video of the protagonist, the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone.

In the latest video, youtube channel DM Productions said that it received the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone in advance and provided a detailed out-of-the-box video. This video gives us a good look at the drone itself, as well as its various obstacle avoidance sensors and controllers.

As DM Productions points out, the controller is similar to DJI's current RC Pro, except that some buttons and interfaces are removed. The Mini 3 Pro's controller also doesn't have any antennas protruding from the top, but it's estimated that the screen won't be as bright or crisp as the screen on the $1100 RC Pro.

A leaked document last month showed the drone weighed less than 250 grams (meaning Americans don't legally need to register), and it would add bump-proof sensors on the front. That leak also included information about the drone's battery (which would obviously be around 2453mAh) and the camera, and we got more details later due to the two retailers going public early.

According to DroneDJ, the Mini 3 Pro will cost around $1,000, and its camera system will be a huge improvement over the Mini 2. The 3 Pro is rumored to have a larger sensor, a lens with a larger aperture that allows more light to come in and shoot at 4K60fps instead of the Mini 2's top 30fps. Oh, and it should be able to shoot under HDR, hopefully so that you don't have to decide between a sky that's too bright or a ground that's too dark.
