The field-proven OneSubsea Subsea Modular Injection System (SMIS) is the first system of its kind in Malaysia to complete a riser-free hydraulic channel intervention.
The SMIS is a hydraulic intervention kit that combines the injection duct of a clear water continuous tubing with a submarine jet skid or barrier kit with a dual barrier valve, an integrated fail-safe control system and a weak link connector.
Submarine jet skids can be connected to any submarine interface via the MARS multi-application reinjection system or dedicated interface. A flexible jumper between the subsea injection skid and the subsea interface minimizes the risk to the main structure.
The single large diameter continuous tubing design is easy to manage and increases the flow rate. By adding several proprietary technologies, larger diameter coiled tubing can be used in this application that facilitate safe fatigue management during use. Secondary circulation lines are used for applications where they are needed.
Wide range of applications
The system can be used for a variety of chemical injections such as scale extrusion, acid irritation, flushing applications, hydrate repair and well killing. It can be deployed in a short period of time as a charter service for opportunity vessels, efficiently delivering solutions at a lower intervention cost.
