During this period, a production coordinator in the workshop was busy, his name was Shen Fei, 44 years old, who had been working in the CNC machining position of Masteel Rail Transit for nearly 30 years.

On April 28, 2022, the celebration of "May Day" International Labor Day and the National May Day Labor Award and the National Worker Pioneer Commendation Conference was held in the form of a video teleconference, and 966 individuals from all over the country won the National May Day Labor Medal, and Shen Fei was honorably listed.

"Innovation is not a slogan, it is a consciousness implanted in the mind, it is an insatiable pursuit of work, even in the most ordinary positions, innovation can 'blossom and bear fruit'." In 1995, Shen Fei entered Masteel after graduating from Masteel Technical School and engaged in mechanical processing in the production line for a long time.

"I studied ironmaking at a technical school, and after graduation, I became an iron worker in a factory." Shen Fei recalled that soon after, he was transferred to Magang Wheel Factory and successively worked in the posts of ordinary sleeping car, vertical car, CNC car, CNC milling and turning and milling composite center. Different types of work, unfamiliar fields, everything must start from scratch, but Shen Fei is not discouraged, he "learns a line, drills a line, does a line, loves a line" .

The processing of a single piece of fine spoke plate holes is time-consuming and laborious, and the safety hazards are invincible, how to avoid it? Wheel tool consumption is huge, how to optimize?

Trying again and again, failing again and again, trying again and again - groping through the problem has finally been exchanged for technological progress. Over the years of work, facing the task of "urgent, difficult, dangerous and heavy" has become a common thing for Shen Fei.

In 2018, Masteel Carried out the relocation of equipment in the southern district, during which some equipment had to be transformed and upgraded, and the relocation and debugging process was cumbersome and arduous. During that time, Shen Fei accompanied the installers day and night to debug, often working day shifts and small night shifts. During the installation of the equipment, the staff found that the algorithm of the oil injection hole angle was inconsistent with the software algorithm. Faced with the problem, Shen Fei repeatedly deduced with a physical wheel, and after countless demonstrations, he finally found a suitable algorithm conversion relationship.

In his work, Shen Fei pays attention to the use of "QC method" (on-site quality improvement method) to solve the technical and quality problems of the production site, and 4 QC achievements such as "Shortening the Processing Time of Single Piece of Fine Spoke Plate Holes" undertaken by him have won the first prize in the country, and 5 topics such as "Improving the Pass Rate of Elastic Wheel Milling Processing" have won the National QC Group Professional Achievement Award.

Over the years, Shen Fei has successively won the honors of "Technical Expert" of Anhui Province, May Day Labor Medal of Anhui Province, Leading Talent of New Strategic Industry in Anhui Province, etc., and also served as the chief technician of Ma'anshan City and the "Distinguished Professor" of CNC major of Anhui Metallurgical Science and Technology Vocational College.

"Every challenge can be an innovation"

"Every problem can be an innovation point, the key is to have a drill." Working in Ma Gang, Shen Fei said this and did the same.

In China Baowu Ma Steel, the wheel is a well-deserved star product, but also the pride of all Ma Steel people - the first train wheel of New China was born here. As a new type of wheel for rail transit, elastic wheels are widely welcomed by the market because of the rubber components in their structures that can reduce noise and help urban rail transit achieve green and low noise. However, due to its special structure, which poses a new challenge to the production and manufacturing process, Masteel did not have relevant manufacturing experience in elastic wheels before 2018.

The road to developing new products is not a smooth road, and who will "eat the first crab" to tackle the problem of elastic wheels? ——This time, Shen Fei's team has become a "pioneer" again, carrying out flexible wheel production under the unified deployment of the company. After nearly two years of continuous research, Masteel Has realized the production and manufacture of more than 10 varieties of small-batch elastic wheels.

In 2021, in the domestic 840 mm diameter elastic wheel project for subway vehicles, Shen Fei will continue to be responsible for the implementation of mechanical processing and press-fitting technology. At present, this type of wheel has been tested on Hefei subway vehicles, which is also the first 840 mm diameter subway elastic wheel in China with independent intellectual property rights of Masteel.

Behind every large-scale speed increase of continental railways, there is an important support provided by masteel wheel products. Under the guidance of the country's implementation of manufacturing power and innovative development policies, Shenfei's team has successively participated in the processing, production and certification of high-power machine wheels, South Korean quasi-high-speed wheels, And Germany's DE920K high-speed wheels in recent years. Under the leadership of Shen Fei, the team overcame the problem of machining the wheels of the domestically produced "Fuxing" high-speed rail with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and effectively promoted the mass production of domestic high-speed rail wheels.

As the leader of the two-level skill master studio in Anhui and Ma'anshan provinces and cities, Shen Fei has achieved a total of 27 innovative achievements in the past 5 years, which has created huge economic and social benefits while solving on-site problems for enterprises. The joint production project of fine boring hole and fine spoke plate hole process led by him has solved the bottleneck of Masteel's cross-material production and added more than 2.8 million yuan to the enterprise every year. He optimizes the tool for axle and wheel machining, reducing the tool consumption by nearly 4.5 million yuan, and many innovative designs have been widely used in the wheel processing industry. Today, Masteel wheels have been exported to more than 70 countries and regions around the world.

"It can be said that my today is cultivated by Masteel, and I am also honored to witness Masteel's high-speed wheel career rolling forward." Shen Fei said modestly.

"Workers must always maintain a sense of sincerity and awe"

Shen Fei often said that there are two things in his work that make him "unique sense of achievement", one is that the products developed have been recognized by the market and peers, and the other is that team members have made great progress.

Cultivating talent echelons is the hope of enterprise development. In the wheel industry with a high degree of specialization, in order to improve the skill level of employees, Shen Fei actively led the training center of Anhui Metallurgical Science and Technology Vocational College as an external training base for Masteel. Relying on the numerical control equipment of the college, Shen Fei combined with the annual skills competition of the enterprise to carry out skills training for employees. In this way, Shen Fei improved the numerical control skills of Masteel's employees, so that everyone could control the accuracy of the product with ease.

"There are a lot of young people in our team, and one of the members has become a senior technician at the age of 27!" Shen Fei said happily that this made him feel that there would be a successor to the localization of high-speed wheels in the future.

In 2019, Shen Fei undertook the counseling and training of the new apprenticeship senior engineer and technician class of Masteel Group, and after two years of training, 8 people passed the vocational ability appraisal of senior workers and 16 people passed the appraisal of professional ability of technicians. By the end of 2021, Shen Fei has undertaken more than 710 CNC skills training.

While serving enterprises, Shen Fei also actively undertakes the social talent training program led by the government, participates in the preparation of planning textbooks for vocational colleges and universities in Anhui Province, trains more than 60 middle and senior workers for local enterprises, and identifies 820 skilled talents.

With perseverance and innovation, writing the love for the wheel cause, and climbing a new peak on the development road of China's rail transit equipment industry, this is Shen Fei's original mission, and it is also his constant pursuit of looking forward to the future and serving the country with skills.
