Miss Universe Philippines 2022
On Saturday, April 30, on coronation night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay Bay City, Manila Metropolis, Silvia Celeste Cortesi from Pasay City won the 2022 Miss Universe Philippines title.
This is the first time that Miss Universe of the Philippines has been crowned on the night of the coronation of Miss Universe in full swing (the previous two years of competition were staged under stricter epidemic prevention and control measures).

Sylvia Celeste Cortesi is 24 years old and 1.73 meters tall, born in Rome, Italy. Her father is Italian and her mother is filipinos of mixed three-country descent (China, Philippines, Spain), from the province of Albay.

The new Miss Universe Philippines speaks Italian, Filipino and English. She grew up in Parma, Italy, and after graduating from parma high school, she began modeling.
On May 19, 2018, she represented Filipinos in Rome in the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 contest and won the championship. She then represented the Philippines in the Miss Earth Global Finals that year, where she finished in the top 8.

At the coronation ceremony that night, the new Miss Universe philippines also won the Best Swimsuit Award and the Photogenic Miss Award, which is a collection of thousands of pets.

Event Swimwear Split Preview
The Miss Universe Philippines 2022 contest started with 50 delegates, after which they were gradually cut to the top 32 through a series of challenges. On the night of the coronation, only the top 32 candidates were selected for the live match. From 32 candidates, this year's entrants were cut to the top 16, then the top 10 and finally the top 5 finalists.
Miss Universe Philippines launches new crown
The Miss Universe Philippines organization launched a new crown called "La Mer En Majesté" or Ocean Majesty on April 19. The crown created by international luxury jewellery brand Jewelmer highlights the golden pearl and is the country's national treasure, which the organization describes as "a glorious symbol of the harmonious relationship between man and nature, capturing the spirit of Filipinos." ”
