Maui, Hawaii, USA, is an island formed by volcanic eruptions, and the island has a rich topographic and landform landscape, of which the area of tropical rainforest is very large.
When visiting Maui, hiking Traiis is one of the most popular entertainment options for tourists, with many different hiking trails to choose from along the Hana Highway.
Today I would like to share with you a more classic Pipiwai Trail-Oheo Gulch line. The road is 4 miles round trip, which is 6.4 km.
The route is very rich in landscape, including bamboo forests, streams, and the end of the route is the Waimoku Falls Waterfall.
This trail is relatively simple, very friendly to novices, and the height difference is not large; however, on rainy days, the road may be slippery and muddy, and there are puddles, and when you finally reach the waterfall, there will be a short trip, it is recommended to wear hiking shoes that are better waterproof and non-slip.
Travel Tips:
The Pipiwai Trail belongs to Oheo in Kipahulu's Haleakala National Park Halekkala National Park, where we can park our car, parked at the Kipahulu Visitor Center, Visitor Center parking lot, and follow the signs to find the trail starting point, ending at Waimoku Falls, after which we return the same way.
Along the way we will encounter many kinds of trees, the most shocking of which is a giant banyan tree with a history of hundreds of years, its trunk is very large, there are many roots protruding from the ground, especially the large area of the canopy distribution, tourists detour past it.
There is also a bamboo forest, which is paved with wooden boardwalks, the environment atmosphere is very friendly, it is easy to produce a piece!
When exploring the falls, be aware of all the warning signs, because some travelers ignore it, accidents in this place are very common, so be careful and pay attention to safety.
Be sure to bring insect repellent spray, in the rainforest, easy to be bitten by mosquitoes.

Itinerary: road to hana day trip
We flew back to Los Angeles in the evening, the itinerary of the day was to watch the sunrise in the early morning at the Crater of Haleakala, start descending the mountain at 7:00 a.m., drive along the seaside road to Harekala National Park, start the Pipiwai Trail Pipiwai Trail Forest Hike, play time is 3 hours, and then follow the "Road to Hana," Hana Highway, back to the airport.
