Artistic vision - the woman in the painting of Leon François

Leon François Commeré, born on 10 October 1850 in the northern town of Troon, in 1853 his father Oscar Luis got a teaching job in Lille and his family moved to the larger city of Lille.

Inexplicably, the young Comer did not begin his official education until he was 7 years old. However, he made up for the lost time with his academic performance, winning a gold medal at the age of 17 at the Académie lille. The Gold Medal awarded him a scholarship that allowed him to continue his artistic education in Paris.

A year later, in 1868, Comer worked in the studio of the famous Alexander Cabanell, who instilled in his students a taste for ornate nudes and oriental fantasy imagery. In the same year, the Minister of Fine Arts awarded Komar the title of "Most Promising Student", an honor that subsequently led to his admission to the prestigious Academy of Arts.
