1. Appropriately increase the amount of sulfur

2. Appropriately increase the amount of filler

In actual production, mica powder, talc, graphite and other inorganic fillers with flake structures can effectively reduce the permeability of butyl vulcanized rubber more effectively than spherical particle fillers; increasing the amount of these rubber fillers is equivalent to reducing the volume fraction of rubber in butyl vulcanized rubber, which helps to improve the air permeability of vulcanized rubber. It should be noted that the large use of inorganic fillers will lead to a decrease in indicators such as the mechanical strength of butyl rubber, so the dosage needs to be reasonably controlled.

3. Appropriately reduce the amount of plasticizer

The use of softeners and plasticizers will increase the breathability of vulcanized rubber, so the amount of plasticizer and operating oil should be minimized when producing highly airtight rubber products with butyl rubber/recycled rubber, so as to avoid the amount of butyl vulcanized rubber that affects the air permeability of butyl vulcanized rubber.

4. Raw materials must not contain impurities

The inclusion of impurities in the raw materials or production process of butyl rubber/recycled rubber products will cause defects on the surface or inside of the finished product, which will seriously affect the airtightness of butyl rubber products. Therefore, when selecting raw materials and excipients used in butyl rubber products, we must use products without impurities to ensure that the compound, especially the filler with a large amount, is evenly dispersed in the rubber material, avoids clumping, and effectively prevents the increase in the permeability of butyl vulcanized glue. If necessary, the butyl compound can be used after filtration; strictly control each production process to ensure that the environmental equipment is clean and avoids impurities.
